## What is Maranox?

See what's under your hull. Maranox brings INFOMAR — the Irish state's seabed survey — to the phone already in your pocket.

Built for recreational boats on Irish waters: anglers, divers, cruising yachts, RIBs, kayakers and sailing schools. Start with the complete streamed seabed-depth map and useful local tools without creating an account.

INCLUDED CHART AND BOAT TOOLS

• Seabed depth — INFOMAR bathymetry and contour lines across the Irish coast, built from one of the most detailed marine surveys of these waters.
• Lighthouses, RNLI lifeboat stations, the twelve-mile limit, and OpenSeaMap buoys and marks.
• Drop marks — long-press anywhere to save fishing spots, anchorages, dive sites and hazards. Name them, categorise them, find them again.
• Record tracks — turn your phone into a breadcrumb log and review your trips by week.
• Plan routes — set waypoints and see straight-line distance, bearing and ETA.
• Man Overboard — long-press to mark your current position to assist your own search (not a distress beacon).
• Keep a local logbook and trip history on this device.
• Night mode — a dark, red-accented chart view designed to reduce glare after dark.

MARANOX PRO

Upgrade inside the app for combined Depth + Sediment, shipwrecks, satellite imagery, live tide gauges and wave-buoy data, downloadable offline chart packs, cloud backup and cross-device sync, and advanced EMODnet fishing and traffic layers. Available plans and any eligible introductory offer are shown with localised App Store terms before purchase.

YOUR LOCAL DATA

Marks, tracks and logbook records work on this device without an account. Removing the app can erase local-only data. Maranox Pro cloud backup and sync help protect and use supported records across signed-in devices.

NOT FOR NAVIGATION

Maranox is a planning and situational-awareness tool. It is not a certified navigation system and must not be used as your primary means of navigation. Keep your paper charts, VHF and all proper safety kit on board.

WHO BUILT IT

Two Irish boaters who wanted the charts they use on the water to be as good as the data the state already paid for. Maranox uses public INFOMAR data under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (Geological Survey Ireland & Marine Institute), shown in-app.
