### 2/5 — This app has some significant bugs

*2020-01-11*

There are quite a few problems with this app. Firstly the program will jump to the end even with a simple hard stride - this has happened over and over - if my iPhone is in my running pocket or an arm band iPhone holder. The other major problem is that if I’m on a 150 program the app timer gets stuck and will not stop running so for instance a 150 minute program can run on for 5 hours. These 2 problems need to get fixed ASAP.

### 3/5 — Desired finish time

*2019-11-09*

It is kind of sad that you can’t type your desired finish time? Or did I miss something?

### 2/5 — Not much to it.

*2019-11-07*

I found it to be just a gps and not much more. I am sure if you paid for the upgrade it would be better but I am not willing to spend the money to find out if the basic is so feature basic I can’t tell what it does.

### 3/5 — 5 stars?

*2019-10-22*

I’m not quite sure why this is so highly rated, on my first run was slightly confused by the instructions “start running” then “run slightly faster” followed by “start running”, did I miss something as I thought I was already running! It is not clear what pace I should be running during each workout, is it all the same pace other than “run slightly faster”? It has also jumped very quickly in time from a 70 minute run two days ago to 100 minutes today, surely that’s too much of a jump? I will stick with it as I paid for pro and there are no other options but there is room for improvement.

### 3/5 — Good programme, poor distance measurements

*2019-07-29*

As title suggests

### 4/5 — Needs watch support.

*2017-10-04*

Good App but needs watch support.

### 4/5 — Made me a runner!!!!

*2017-10-02*

Overweight and out of shape after two back to back pregnancies, I decided I wanted to run. I made a goal of running a half marathon. I started with the 10K runner app from the same developer. Loved it so much that I moved on to the 21K runner app. And now that I’m comfortably running 12-14 miles I decided to train for my first marathon. I was elated to see the marathon (42k) training app. These apps have helped me lose 90 lbs and go from a 20 minute mile to a 9 minute mile.

My only 2 complaints (and I don’t remember if this was an issue on the other apps) is that that I use a run buddy on some runs and a flip belt on other runs; because these runs are longer I often don’t pay attention to my phone. I like to let go and just run. Sometimes due to friction my phone will exit out of the app and be on another screen (even though I use the lock feature on the app) I wish there was a way to make sure that it stays on the app screen so that I don’t have to worry about accidentally sending texts or accessing other things during a run. Also when it exits out, it doesn’t allow me to hear notifications (ive checked my settings and my phone and everything is correct) I’m going to try utilizing the guided access feature on my phone for the next run to see if that helps.

Secondly I’m not sure if this app is optimized for the Apple Watch. With the other apps, even when I didn’t hear the notifications I got a vibration to my wrist to “run” or “walk” or that I had “reached the halfway point”. I checked my watch and this app isn’t listed as one that can be downloaded. This makes my runs harder Bc I have to focus on the time. And of course that makes a 14 mile run seem even longer.

All in all, I LOVE this app. I wouldn’t trade it for any other. Hoping they have one for triathlon training which is my next goal.

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2016-05-17*

These apps have taken me from doing nothing for five years to now training four nights a week. I am now ready for my three peaks challenge in June😀.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — IT’s stopped recording my runs

*2023-11-03*

It’s stopped recording my runs

### 1/5 — So disappointed

*2023-02-28*

Used the 10K and 21K app - no issues
This just doesn’t save my runs
As soon as they are done the run disappears
Despite several attempts to speak to developer nothing has Been rectified
Utter waste of money
It’s a shame as I love the training plan
Wish I could rate it at minus stars

### 1/5 — Another money spinner

*2022-06-20*

Claims to be a marathon training program but you get one week then have to buy the rest rip off

### 1/5 — Terrible all

*2021-07-16*

This app charges you yearly with literally no explanation as to how to end the “subscription “…..I didn’t sign up for this and have no way to end it. Don’t waste your money there are plenty of other ways to train for a marathon

### 1/5 — Poor experience

*2020-07-05*

I'm not sure where all these top reviews are coming from. The app won't talk to issue commands like it's supposed to. I don't trust it for training. Now apple won't refund my money even though I've had it less than a week.

### 1/5 — App mit minimaler Funktionalität

*2020-01-22*

### 1/5 — Very user unfriendly. Couldn’t link plan to my calendar.

*2020-01-11*

Not good

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2019-12-16, version 8.004*

Terrible app, counting in your head is more accurate

### 1/5 — Boo

*2019-03-26*

Boo

### 1/5 — I've used everyone one of their running apps

*2017-06-21, version 7.3*

So I began to use this app for marathon training. I've used all of the other running apps for 5-21K. And this one is the biggest disappointment. I feel like it was created in a rush without thought. Poor build! Every run that includes intervals has no walking interval! Seems strange considering what seems to be undeniably important for heart rate training. And the voice prompts don't make sense. When we are supposed to "run at your normal pace is says "start running"!!! Fix it. Until then I'm asking for my money back.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Running app

*2024-11-03*

Easy to follow plan!!

### 5/5 — Great for those who did the earlier apps

*2022-01-01*

Love the app. Have used them all up to get to here. Only disappointment is that it isn’t available on the Apple Watch like the Couch to 5 and 10.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2020-05-10, version 8.004*

Simple and functional, this is just the motivation I need to stick to a training plan. Couch to 5K got me running and hopefully this gets me to marathon distance!

### 5/5 — Great running app!

*2020-01-13*

I’m 55 and just ran my first Half Marathon & I used this app to train. Now I’m motivated to train for the full distance.

### 5/5 — It’s made a non runner into a runner

*2019-12-10*

In May 2019 I started with the 0 to 5k app and have now reached the dizzy heights of this 42k app.. I can vouch that by following the series of apps and strictly sticking to each programme you will reach each goal.. in the process I have lost 32lb and the fittest I have ever been and have already got my place in one of the biggest marathons next year... and your never to old to start as am in my late 50’s

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2019-07-28, version 8.004*

Simple easy to use and keeps me going!

### 5/5 — 1st Marathon

*2017-10-18*

I used the 5k app to start running again after several years and the 21K app to train for my 1st half marathon. Loved both. Kept me motivated and on track. Bought the 42k to train for my first marathon. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Great program! My 5th app in the series!

*2017-07-25*

Started from scratch after I had baby #2 with the 5K runner app, then did 5K pacer, then 10K runner, then 21K runner, now I'm in the throes of the 42K runner app! If I can do it, anyone can!

### 5/5 — First running app I've stuck to!

*2017-01-27*

I've used a lot of running apps. Pretty much all of them, however the simplicity of this one actually made me complete it. I started with the 5k, then moved up to this huge 42k app! I love the reward badges as well! Thank you!!

### 5/5 — From couch to first marathon

*2017-01-05*

I've used this series of apps all the way from couch to attempting my first marathon this year. Very well paced and ability to listen to music and run 'MapMyRun' in the background means it's easy to keep track of progress and keep going! Couldn't recommend highly enough.
