## What is Marca?

Read more. Scroll less.

Ten minutes a day adds up to about 9 books a year.
Marca tracks every book, keeps your daily streak, and can lock the apps that eat your evenings until you've read.

TRACK EVERY BOOK
- Add a book in seconds: search, scan the barcode, or type it in
- Shelves for your TBR, what you're reading, finished and set aside
- Ratings, notes, and the quotes worth keeping
- A yearly reading challenge
- Home Screen widgets with the book you're reading

BUILD THE HABIT
- A tiny daily goal in minutes or pages (10 minutes to start)
- A calm reading timer, with a Live Activity on your Lock Screen
- A streak that forgives one missed day a week
- One reminder a day, at the time you pick

READ FIRST (APP BLOCKER)
- Pick the apps that eat your evenings
- They stay locked until you've met today's reading goal, then open until midnight
- Something urgent? Two 5-minute passes a day
- Free for 1 app. Marca+ locks as many as you like, and Strict mode removes the passes
- Built on Apple's Screen Time: Marca never sees which apps you chose

SEE YOUR READING
- Books, pages, hours and streaks
- How many days reading opened your apps
- Your month in books, and a card for every finished book, ready to share

MARCA+
Read First without limits, the full insights (genre, format, pace), every theme, unlimited quotes and a second daily goal.
- Yearly: a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, then the yearly price shown in the app
- Monthly, or pay once for lifetime access
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. Subscriptions, including after the free trial, renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No feed. No ads. Your reading stays on your device.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.2.0 — 2026-10-30

Marca 2.2

• A new start that builds your reading plan, and shows what 10 minutes a day adds up to.
• Read First is easier to set up, with a clearer Screen Time step.
• Lock 1 app for free. Lock as many as you like with Marca+.
• Fixes and polish.

### 2.1.1 — 2026-10-24

Marca 2.1.1

• Your month in books: a story-sized card of every book, page and day you read, ready to post. Every month waits in Insights.
• Try Marca+ free for 7 days on the yearly plan. Marca reminds you two days before the trial ends.
• One daily reminder at the time you choose, naming the book you're reading.
• Insights you can tap, and your book cover now shows in tinted and clear widgets.

### 2.0.2 — 2026-10-14

Marca 2.0.2

• Marca now asks for a rating a little earlier, after your first 3-day streak, and still never more than once in a long while.
• A refreshed App Store page.

### 2.0.1 — 2026-10-12

Marca 2.0.1

• Marca+ works again. If you tried to subscribe and nothing happened, I'm sorry. That's fixed, and if the App Store can't be reached, Marca now says so instead of showing a button that does nothing.
• Scanning finds far more books, especially French, German and Spanish editions.
• Between two books, Home now helps you pick the next one instead of asking you to add your first.
• Leave the app halfway through setup and you'll come back where you left off.
• Talk to the maker: You → About. One person makes Marca and reads every message.
• Read First, for everyone who started before it existed: a one-time card on Home to set it up, if you want it.

### 2.0.0 — 2026-09-30

Marca 2.0 — read more, scroll less.

Marca has always tracked your books. Now it can help you get to them.

READ FIRST
Choose the apps that eat your evenings — Instagram, TikTok, whatever it is for you. They stay locked until you've read today's goal, then stay open until midnight. No countdown, so reading in the morning pays off all day.

There's one reading goal now — the same number your streak counts — and it's free to change. Need a minute before you've read? Two five-minute passes a day — and a pass opens only the app you tapped, not everything you locked. Strict Mode (Marca+) removes them. Built on Apple's Screen Time, so Marca never learns which apps you picked. Entirely optional.

YOUR STREAK, OPENED OUT
Tap the flame on the home screen for your reading month as a calendar of covers — and a card worth sharing.

ALSO NEW
- A calmer home screen, with your book front and centre
- Two new Marca+ themes: Nocturne and Almanac
- Read First stats and three new achievements
- Now in French, German and Spanish

Read more. Keep every book.
