Now there is no balance and fairness in the game- those who spend the most money win. Now there is a new “Update” or “theme” or “Character” all of which is a conn to squeeze as much money from you as possible. I have played since 2017/18 and love the game and the people I play with. Hint some things are thousands of £s to buy in this game and there are people who spend tens of thousands £ to be a stronger player. It’s game lofts greed that has ruined the game -It’s out of control. Lastly the game is unstable with every single update and people have lost everything due being unable to enter the game while others attack. After major updates, mechanics that players spent heavily on can be changed or reduced in effectiveness. Calling it balance doesn't change the fact that players made purchases based on how these systems worked at the time. If a system has been monetized for a long time, changing it later can make previous spending feel wasted. The constant cycle of new content, spending, and rebalancing has destroyed my confidence in investing money into this game. ### 1/5 — Still not fixed. I have spent my career as a web designer / project manager and enjoy design and developing for the WWW and Apps for various sectors. I joined MoE as my partner was already an avid player. I liked MoE as the social side was like what I had experienced from other games but one difference was that you could set your own formation for troops when attacking. I have now been playing 3 years but the last 12 months have been hard and I'm seeing friends I have made disappear by the dozen every week. I'm talking people aged 35-60 years and who spend their time and hard earned money on the game. Sadly we are now fighting Cheats and BOT users. Players that have new equipment and updates to the game as soon as they are released. A lot of which is not possible to have unless they are given this by the developers of the game. Also we are now fighting against users that can changed our attack formations and stats before they reach the city they are attacking. Only a BOT user can change my city bonuses and troops formations. I'm an honest player and if I loose because my city is not good enough to win fair enough but when my bonuses are changing to negative numbers mid march because the city I'm attacking can change them then I have zero chance of winning anything. These players also win all the Events that we are given so again no chance when playing against these kind of players. They think it's funny but soon they won't have anyone to play against. They don't realise what they are doing to the game. I've giving 5/5 ⭐️ so it should be read, but this game deserves nothing more than one or two stars. Gameloft must act on these Cheating players and those who use BOTs now. Not tomorrow or next week but now before there is no game left for us or for GameLoft.
