## What is Maribell?

Maribell is a personal shopping assistant for people who want to save money when they shop online.

The mobile app works alongside the desktop version of Maribell (macOS and Windows, available at maribell.es), which is where the price and availability checks on the products you follow are carried out. On your phone you browse, organise and receive the alerts.

HOW IT HELPS
• Follow the price and availability of the products you care about over time, with their chart and their reading history.
• Get an alert when a product reaches the price you set as your target, or when it comes back in stock.
• Compare the same product across different stores by price per measure, so you can decide where to buy it even when the packs come in different sizes.
• Group equivalent products yourself to see at a glance which one works out best.
• Plan your supermarket shop: pick the groups you want to buy and I’ll tell you which supermarket works out cheaper, counting in offers like 3-for-2 or 70% off the second one.
• Save a product by sharing its link from your browser or from any other app.
• Follow accommodation too: the price of a stay for the dates you’re interested in.
• Watch a whole search: I’ll let you know when something new turns up that fits what you’re after.
• Organise your products by store or by group.
• Add notes to each product so you don’t forget why it’s on your list.

NO NOISE
• No ads in the app.
• No tracking across third-party apps.

Maribell helps you shop better and spend less.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.3.0 — 2026-08-26

This version brings one big new thing: discount codes.

THE DISCOUNT CODES, OUT IN THE OPEN
• I now show you the codes I know for each store, on the product page and in Markets, with a button to copy them.
• I give you the full small print, uncut: which purchases they apply to, the minimum spend and the expiry date. A code you can't read in full is no use to anyone.
• Next to each one I tell you the day I checked it, so you know whether what you're looking at is from this week or from a month ago.
• I also flag the codes that only work inside the store's own app, and the ones nobody is going to check again.

YOU CAN SEND ME CODES TOO
• If you find one I don't have, send it to me from the app and I'll check it.
• And if one fails on you, tell me and I'll re-check it.

ALL YOUR STORES ON ONE SCREEN
• There's a new screen, "My markets", with the stores where you have products and what I know about each one's codes.

IF YOU LIKE, I'LL TELL YOU
• I can let you know when I find a new code in one of your stores. It comes switched off — you turn it on.

Thanks for carrying on saving with me.

### 2.2.2 — 2026-08-07

This version brings together everything I’ve learned since 2.1.2.

SEE WHAT I CHECKED, AND WHEN
• You can now see the last 30 times I checked a product: what price I found each time, whether it was on offer, and how long passed between one reading and the next.
• From a product’s screen you can see and change how often I read it, and whether that pace is its own or inherited from the store it’s on.

COMPARE LIKE WITH LIKE
• The compare card now leads with the price per measure and keeps the total small, so you’re really comparing even when the packs come in different sizes.

ALERTS CLOSER TO HAND
• The number of active alerts now also shows on the Alerts tab and on the app icon, so you don’t have to go in and look.
• On a product’s screen, an active alert’s notice tells you what day you set it, and takes you to that alert on the Alerts tab when you tap it.
• Turning off an alert from the product screen now makes it disappear right away.

SAVING PRODUCTS FROM OTHER APPS
• Sharing a link from another app now works with Maribell closed, without leaving an error screen stranded or repeating the last link.
• Sharing an accommodation link now gets recognised as a stay, instead of creating a product I couldn’t read.
• The link to the store takes you to the product again: on some items saved from a share link it left you on the store’s error page.

SMOOTHER INSIDE
• The product list is lighter: when you filter, prices no longer go blank for a moment.
• Signing out works every time: even if you lose signal right at that moment, I make sure your account is left closed on this phone.

Thanks for carrying on saving with me.

### 2.1.2 — 2026-07-09

• Alert tabs now display a badge showing the number of active alerts (price, availability, or search).
• You can open the URL of a Search Alert in your browser from its details screen.
• When a search has no results at the moment, you’ll now see a clear message instead of an error.
• When you dismiss a Search Alert result, it’s now saved even if you leave the screen immediately.
• Tapping a notification while the app is closed now takes you directly to the corresponding section.

### 2.1.1 — 2026-07-07

* Improvements to long-range price charts

### 2.1.0 — 2026-07-04

• Search Alerts are now on mobile: view, create, and manage your saved searches, and I’ll notify you whenever I find something new. Note: I monitor them from your computer, so you’ll need to keep the desktop app running.
