## What is Maribita?

Maribita teaches you to read and write Korean from zero. Designed for Spanish speakers and fully available in English. Hangul isn't written letter after letter in a row: every syllable is a block. In Maribita you build those blocks yourself.

Build the block
Place jamo tiles in their slots: the initial consonant, then the vowel and, if there is one, the bottom consonant (받침). The block takes its shape from the vowel and fuses into the syllable: ㄷ + ㅏ + ㄹ + ㄱ = 닭. A wrong tile won't fit, and you're told why: "a vowel goes here", "same family, different air", "a similar vowel".

A 9-unit path
Vowels → consonants → aspirated and tense consonants → compound vowels → 받침 → how it really sounds → real words → short phrases → read the street (menus, subway, shops). Each lesson opens the next. Already read a little? A 6-question check places you in your unit.

How it's really said
Korean isn't read letter by letter: 한국어 sounds [한구거] and 학교 sounds [학꾜]. Maribita shows the real pronunciation of every word and the rule behind it: linking, double 받침, tensing, nasalization and the ㅎ that puffs or vanishes.

First phrases and grammar
The particles 은/는, 이/가 and 을/를 chosen by how the word ends, when to use 요, and useful phrases with audio.

Your progress
A daily block goal, a daily block that's the same for everyone, spaced review of every syllable you build, and your collection of mastered letters and syllables.

Also: minimal-pair ear training (달, 탈, 딸), a Hangul chart, a sound guide and a 630-word beginner dictionary with examples and Korean voice.

Every letter comes with a picture to remember it and the story of its shape.

Interface in Spanish, English and Japanese. No account, no ads, no purchases, no internet.

Made with care by Upa Lupe Games.
