## What is MariTribe?

Maritime has always been a world of tight-knit communities — batch groups, ship families, college alumni. But the tools holding these communities together were never built for professionals. Group chats bury good answers in endless scroll. Generic professional networks don't understand what a Chief Officer is, or why your next certificate of competency matters.

MaritribeOne is the first professional network built specifically for maritime people: active seafarers, shore-based professionals, maritime entrepreneurs, cadets, and retired officers alike.

EXAM PREP, BUILT FOR MARINERS
Prepare for your next certificate inside the same app as your community. Follow a study plan, work through flashcards with spaced repetition that brings back what you're about to forget, and practise diagrams by hiding and revealing labelled parts. Listen to long answers read aloud, upload your own notes as PDFs, and explore any subject on the Study Map. Your progress is saved as you go.

YOUR INSTITUTE HUB
Every maritime institution has its own space on MaritribeOne. Find your batch, reconnect with alumni, follow senior officers from your college, and stay connected across every posting and career stage. Your Institute Hub is where shared history lives — people who went through the same training, sailed the same routes, and built careers you can actually relate to.

THE GLOBAL HUB
The Global Hub connects you beyond your college and your specialisation. Deck or engine, shore or sea, this is where the wider maritime community meets. Follow communities relevant to your work, discover what professionals from other institutes are discussing, and engage with the industry — not just your batch.

CREATE YOUR OWN COMMUNITIES
Create communities around the topics and connections that matter to you — a technical domain, a trade route, colleagues from a company you've sailed with, an exam prep group, or a port city network. Communities can also be anonymous, so sensitive questions get honest answers.

EVENTS, POLLS AND DISCUSSIONS
Post questions, share documents, run polls, and organise events and reunions. Repost with your own commentary, and edit or delete your posts and comments at any time.

PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY THAT TRAVELS WITH YOU
Your rank and professional title are visible across the platform. Whether you're an active Master, a shore-based Fleet Manager, a cadet, or a retired Superintendent, your experience is seen and respected in every interaction.

KNOWLEDGE THAT STAYS FINDABLE
Discussions are structured and searchable — not lost in an endless message scroll. Bookmark posts you want to come back to. Search across communities to find what's already been answered, so recurring questions get answered once and the answers stay findable.

MARITIME NEWS, IN ONE PLACE
Stay current on industry news and regulatory updates curated for maritime professionals — right alongside the conversations your peers are having about them.

REAL PEOPLE, VERIFIED
Institute membership is verified, so the people in your communities are who they say they are. Message anyone on the platform directly, and keep control over what you share.
