This app is not easy very choppy to use. Th app should be able to have a customers address viewable and phone number on the estimates tab. Also to many steps to create estimate schedule invoice and send receipt. I’m switching back to my previous crm. ### 2/5 — Too many bugs *2026-05-01, version 5.6.4* App has potential, but doesn’t always save estimates. Typing multiple lines in the mobile app is frustrating as it doesn’t follow your cursor down to the next line. There are a few other things as well. ### 3/5 — New update now can’t upload photos *2026-02-23, version 5.5.9* App was great with the occasional glitches, now they updated the app and I can’t upload multiple pictures at once without it failing every time. Tried on multiple network connections including WiFi and cellular. ### 4/5 — Great for Home service businesses *2025-03-12, version 5.5.7* I really love this app. It’s affordable and covers scheduling, easy estimating on the spot! And much more! ISSUES •Freezes at times you have to close and reopen. Please fix! ### 1/5 — Earthworks Gardens *2024-08-10, version 5.5.2* For 2 months, as the 78 yr old mother of the owner of this landscape company, I have begged to stop the auto payment of this service. I made it clear that my son had oral cance and that not being familiar with ANY type of billing program was part of the reason I had to call them to get help. I also told them that not only did we need to stop the auto annual, but any type of payment as we were going to discontinue our services due to his illness. Instead, they continued to remove monthly payments from his bank account, even though I was not using the service. Let me warn you: I would be extremely careful about choosing this company to service you. They are heartless after all the years of service my son paid for and not to stop the service as I requested it. BEWARE! ### 3/5 — Good, not yet great *2024-06-13, version 5.5.1* This is the best CRM for small service-oriented businesses. That doesn’t mean it’s great… it’s just better than the others (it’s a bit of a low bar). The app is very slow and buggy sometimes. There is no integration with Google voice, no ability to modify communication settings (it will send SMS messages to customers even at 3am), and the support is a lot of “we’ll get on that” but is very slow to actually build fixes or features. That said, I do like it and will continue to use it but really hoping it steps up and makes some very necessary changes. ### 1/5 — Markate doesn’t value loyal customers *2024-04-23, version 5.4.9* Markate raises the prices on existing customers and they don’t value customer loyalty. Whether you are a new customer or have been with them for several years, they will raise their prices and even if you have been paying the same amount since signing up, that doesn’t matter to them. They will still raise your rate without telling you and if you don’t realize it until you check your bank statements that could add up to quite a bit more that you’re paying. When I asked “why the additional cost?” They said it’s only $10. $10 a month adds up over a year or even more and I asked if they made any upgrades to the service and the customer representative stated no not that she knows of. ### 1/5 — Beware you have no access to your customer database if you leave *2024-03-27, version 5.4.9* Decided to try out another provider after Markate raised prices again without adding any benefits to service. Once we swapped we had no access to our customers past invoices and information. Every other crm we tried still allow us to view them even from 3 years ago but Markate decided not to let us see them because we did not renew. These invoices are apart of my business transactions and I should always have access to them. I shouldn't had to pay an extra month just so I can download them to my computer. We were not aware they would do this since no other crm does this. ### 2/5 — Used to be great *2023-06-29, version 5.4.1* When I first started using this app it was wayyy cheaper and I never had so many bugs in my life. Every time I turn around something is wrong with the app on my Apple device. I run my business from my phone pretty much as I am always on the run. I honestly used do have nothing but good things to say about this app and I use it for two businesses and pay quiet a bit of money for them. But why? They are always having issues and right now I’m trying to submit 2 invoices and can’t change the dates on them and another large estimate that’s due immediate and it won’t even let me edit what I have in my estimate. Sorry to say but you lost me as a customer and I am going else were. The Facebook group used to let you post about your issues to get them fixed and now they don’t let you because I guess bad for business. I honestly used to feel part of the family with the app and now I feel like I’m just a number. I hope the owner sees and reads this review. Julie or Julia used to be the best at customer service. I canceled my membership this month by not making my payment. They went into my account and charged my card the full payment this month. I DID NOT HAVE AUTO RENEWALS ON. I could not access my account on August 28th, and on the 29th I got an email from my bank saying I have been charged. UNACCEPTABLE!!! ### 1/5 — Gn *2025-06-29, version 5.5.8* What a terrible app I know it’s cheaper than other competitors, but it’s almost not worth it. It randomly glitches on you. Sometimes it doesn’t auto fill the address sometimes it just freezes. I reached out to tech-support and they don’t do anything. They just ask for me to send them screenshots of what it does and it never gets better. I guess that’s what happens when you get Indian developers from halfway across the world. A lot of confusing redundancy. I’m still learning it and once I get use to it I’ll update my review but not going to lie I hate this whole CRM so far. Customer service is impossible, be prepared to wait 4-5 days for a response through phone call. They only have a few people responding through chat support so it’s always a headache getting any answers. Small company, only 36 employees and it’s painfully obvious. ### 1/5 — Better off with Jobber *2024-08-27, version 5.5.3* Insanely buggy software that they are not interested in fixing. Will continue to take your money and assure you that things will be fixed and then they won’t. To learn how to use the app you have to watch dozens of support videos because it’s such a confusingly constructed app with poor UX. Best customer service I’ve had from an online company I’m very happy with the work quality and amazing customer service. ### 5/5 — Great Option *2026-05-06, version 5.6.5* After looking into multiple options for my remodeling business, this one made the most sense and does what multiple platforms do in one. Price is very good for what you get. I got talked into Houzz Pro that claimed it did everything this offers, but they were full of broken promises and had horrible customer service. Other platforms you were paying double for to get what this offers. There are a few tweaks that could be made, but you will get that with any other platform. Housecall Pro is great too, BUT it’s only affordable if you have a larger business if you’re small single or only a few employees, Markate is the way to go! New updates and AI integrations seem to be awesome! ### 5/5 — Great product and great service *2025-07-14, version 5.5.8* I have had Markate for a good while now and it has streamlined my business making my more efficient. Anyone in business knows that in order to provide a customer a top tier experience you need to provide a seamless experience where things make sense and flow well from initial contact to payment and review. That’s what Markate does. It’s automates the crm process with tools and systems that integrate with your everyday life. Sending reminders, creating and converting estimates, collecting payment and sending friendly time estimates are just the beginning. This app will even rout your jobs automatically saving you time and money. There is a small learning curve but nothing that should be an issue for anyone with a business. The rewards are beyond worth it. Brett helped run me through what Markate can do and Stacy has helped with any question or concern.
