## What is Markdown Notes?

Lumen is a fast, private notebook for people who like plain text. Write in Markdown, see it beautifully formatted, and keep everything on your device.

WRITE IN MARKDOWN
• Headings, bold, italic, quotes, lists and code blocks
• Switch between editing and a clean preview
• Lists continue automatically as you type
• Drafts are saved as you go, so an interrupted note isn't lost

ORGANIZE WITH TAGS
• Add #tags anywhere in a note
• Nested tags like #work/meeting build a tag tree
• Pin important notes, archive the rest

FIND IT FAST
• Search across all your notes
• Filter by tag from the sidebar

ATTACHMENTS
• Add photos and files to a note
• Duplicate images are stored only once

BACK UP AND RESTORE
• Export your whole library as a ZIP file
• Restore from a backup on any device with Lumen
• Backups are checked before anything is imported

PRIVATE AND OFFLINE
• Notes are stored on your device
• No account, no ads, no tracking
• Works without an internet connection
