## What is Markdownr?

Markdownr is a powerful, native Markdown viewer that turns your iPhone and iPad into the best way to read .md files. Open Markdown documents directly from the Files app, Mail, Safari, or any app — Markdownr registers as a system-wide document handler so your files always look beautiful.

WHY MARKDOWNR

iOS has no built-in Markdown viewer. Markdownr fills that gap with blazing-fast native rendering, rich theming, and document navigation features that make reading long Markdown documents a pleasure.

DOCUMENT HANDLING

A big one! Here's what's new:

• Open Folder — point Markdownr at a whole folder and browse all its Markdown files, with the links between them working just like they should.
• Markdownr now speaks Russian and German, from the menus right through to the messages.
• Landscape mode — turn your iPhone or iPad on its side and everything reflows beautifully.
• The menu button is now tappable all over, not just on the three little dots.
• Opening .md files straight from the Files app on iPhone works a treat now.

Your markdown files can now use common HTML inline tags — and they'll actually render properly. Bold, italic, strikethrough, underline, highlight, superscripts, subscripts, line breaks — all the classics. Tags inside code spans stay as literal text, because that's just good manners.

Markdownr just got a little shinier — here's what's new:

- Native Search Bar: We ditched our homemade search field and gave you the real deal — iOS's native search bar. It feels right at home, because it literally is.
- Dark Mode Done Right: The dark mode toggle now properly cycles through System → Dark → Light. No more guessing which mode you're about to land on.
- Smarter Theme Suggestions: The "try this theme" banner now politely excuses itself when you open a new file. As it should.

Markdownr now remembers! No more "wait, which file was that again?"

- Recent Files: Your last 10 opened files are cached and ready to go. Swipe left to tidy up, or tap to jump right back in.
- Picks up where you left off: The app restores your last viewed file on launch. No more staring at the welcome screen every morning.
- Drawer quick access: Your two most recent files live in the sidebar, one tap away.
- All entry points covered: Share sheet, file picker, deep links — everything lands in your recent files automatically.
- Privacy first: Cached files stay on your device and never sync to iCloud.
