## What is MarketLens?

The whole US market, one lens. MarketLens opens to a brief on what changed — for the names you follow and for the market as a whole — then hands you the tools to dig in.

MARKET BRIEF — YOUR DAILY READ
• Opens on breadth and mood, badged for open, pre-market, after hours or closed
• A rail of every name today's scans surfaced, and why
• Earnings warnings for watched names before the report
• Volatility shifts, confluence flags and setups on names you follow
• Then the market: breadth, movers, sector rotation, unusual volume, WSB's top ticker, large caps reporting this week
• Optional morning brief notification, assembled on-device — nothing leaves your phone

MARKET PULSE
• The tape at a glance — S&P, Nasdaq, Dow, Russell and VIX, with futures out of hours
• The ten busiest names in any sector, by turnover rather than a percentage pop
• Economic calendar: what's due, rated by how much it actually moves the market
• Share the tape as a card — facts only, with the disclaimers printed on it

SEASONS
• A wash behind every screen: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter — or Auto, which follows the calendar

MARKET FILTERS
• Every US stock & ETF — price, volume, % change, cap, sector
• Sector heat map — tap a sector to filter the whole market to it
• Sort by any column — search every ticker

SCREENS THAT DO THE THINKING
• Smart screens: Momentum, Unusual Volume, Breakout, Oversold, Lottos, Movers
• Community buzz: most-mentioned tickers on r/wallstreetbets
• Filter by type, price, volume, cap and sector — save and share presets

ETF X-RAY
• See inside any fund: holdings, weights, concentration ("Top 10 = 45% of QQQ")
• One tap turns its holdings into a live screen you can sort and save

GO DEEP ON ANY SYMBOL
• Candles from 1-minute to 1 year — pinch to zoom
• Overlay buy/sell signals (MACD crossovers) with one tap
• RSI and MACD, computed on-device for any timeframe
• Analyst targets: average, range, implied upside and ratings
• Share trade odds: model-implied probability of being higher in 1–12 weeks
• VWAP on intraday charts — where the money actually traded today
• Recent news headlines with color-coded sentiment
• Upcoming earnings date and timing on the page

MARKET RECON — WHERE THE SIGNALS AGREE
• Scans StockTwits and r/wallstreetbets trending, plus the day's movers
• Only names where unusual volume, social lean and price action agree
• Sentiment measured against the crowd's own baseline: "71% bullish · crowd 93%"
• Conviction score, bull/bear split, and the drivers behind it

TOP PICKS
• Scans 30+ liquid names for defined-risk credit spreads
• Set a minimum win estimate — ranked by expected value per dollar risked
• Every pick clears a liquidity floor and a credit-to-width floor
• Each setup draws its payoff shape to scale

OPTIONS, DEMYSTIFIED
• Nearest contracts — by liquidity, spread and closeness to the money
• Win estimates per contract: Black-Scholes probability of profit
• Filter by win-rate bands, or switch to Credit Spreads mode

LEARN AS YOU GO
• 132 tips across options, risk, mechanics, earnings, psychology, charts, process
• A tip of the day — swipe it for another, or browse the searchable library
• Facts and arithmetic only — never a recommendation

ON YOUR HOME & LOCK SCREEN
• Widgets in three sizes — your brief without opening the app
• Lock Screen widgets: mood and the day's top line at a glance
• Tap any widget line to open that symbol, not just the app
• Ask Siri for your market brief, hands-free
• Widgets carry the market's mood and the season, like the app does
• A real iPad sidebar layout, not a stretched phone

STAY ON TOP
• Price alerts, plus a watchlist refreshing every ~20 seconds

THE HONEST PART
MarketLens is a screening and research tool, not a broker and not an advisor. Every probability is a labeled model estimate — not a prediction or recommendation. Quotes may be delayed. Community-mention data reflects chatter, not analysis. Nothing here is investment advice; always do your own research.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.04 — 2026-08-15

Seasonal themes, a shareable market snapshot, and a long pass over everything that was quietly not working.

SEASONS
• The screen tint now carries a season under each screen's own colour — Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, or Auto, which follows the calendar and is the default. The app is amber in October and cold blue in January without you choosing anything
• Pick from a rail of swatches painted in the theme they select, under Preferences → Screen background tint. On by default now, so you can actually see it
• Your widgets wear it too. The home-screen background was the system's default grey; it now carries the market's mood at the top and the season below, and changes the moment you pick a different one

SHARE THE TAPE
• A share button on Market Pulse turns the market into a card you can post or send: mood, the advancing share, the breadth bar, the four benchmarks and the VIX, over the seasonal wash
• Facts only — no probabilities, no ranked setups. Every estimate in the app is labelled as a model estimate, and a label is exactly what doesn't survive being screenshotted. The session, the timestamp, "quotes may be delayed" and "not investment advice" are printed on the card itself, because a shared image travels without the app around it

THE BRIEF
• Tips swipe. 132 of them now, across options, risk, market mechanics, earnings, psychology, charts and process — swipe the card for another, in an order that can't repeat until it has been through all of them
• The build progress line says far more while staying one line: the step running, its live count, what the build has already found, and how far through it is
• "Daily brief notification" is now "Notify me with the morning brief", because delivery is scheduled by iOS and was never actually daily. It also asks for notification permission now — previously it asked for nothing, so unless you'd created a price alert at some point, it could never have delivered anything
• Every preference explains itself in place, instead of three paragraphs in a shared footer that you had to match up by counting

FIXES THAT MATTERED
• Symbol pages open on 1H instead of 4H. "4H" was built from Yahoo's 1-minute feed, which is often empty for quieter names — so the default view of a quiet stock was the one most likely to show nothing, and it showed a spinner that never resolved rather than saying so
• VWAP now resets each session. On the 15m, 30m and 1H scales it had been accumulating across days or weeks while still being labelled VWAP
• Four places showed a stuck spinner or, worse, a confident wrong answer when a request failed. The economic calendar was the bad one: it printed "nothing at this level in the next few sessions" on days the feed was publishing releases. Failures now say so, and offer a retry
• Error messages rewritten to name what happened, say why, and make clear when it isn't your connection

MARKET PULSE
• Opens on the ten busiest names in any sector, by turnover rather than by a 40% pop on 30,000 shares
• The tape — S&P, Nasdaq, Dow, Russell, VIX — with index futures filling in out of hours
• An economic calendar rated in three tiers, because CPI and an existing-home-sales print are not the same event

CRYPTO & FUTURES
• 30 major coins and 10 index and commodity futures, with the same charts, RSI, MACD and 52-week ranges as any stock. They stay out of the screens and rankings by design — they aren't US-listed stocks and their volume isn't comparable
