To make sure it wasn't my phone my friend also tried and he had the same problem. The web version still works though. I hit get started and it immediately sent me to a screen that says you have been blocked. Apparently my browser is suspicious or something? The point is I have literally done nothing except download the app and hit get started and it won’t let me in. I’ve tried deleting it and re-downloading it several times and it’s the same every time. I’m forced to use this for a project, but directly after I will be uninstalling. This is inexcusable, and to see so many reviews reflecting this without a hint of fixing these problems is unforgivable. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No longer supported *2025-07-16* The app wasn’t great, and we all know that, but at least students and teachers could check the leaderboard and such when using it from our phones. Now, even that function is gone, meaning we need to log on to a computer to be able to play or use it. In an age where everyone is on their phones, especially in high school, this is hugely inconvenient and will drop participation significantly. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max that has never had any issues before. The game freezes and lags horribly, making it almost impossible to operate within the app. Once I backed out of the game, the rest of my phone was also unusually laggy and I noticed it was beginning to overheat. Needless to say that as soon as I deleted the app, all these problems immediately disappeared with it. Hopefully the app is optimized for operation once again because it’s definitely got potential. It’s simply not practical (or likely safe) for use as of right now (March 6th, 2025). ### 1/5 — You have been blocked *2025-03-02* I thought this is something fun I could suggest to my clients. Maybe they could learn about investing and have fun at the same time. When I finally got to the part where I could actually start playing the game, the app told me that I was blocked. There’s absolutely no reason I should’ve been blocked. Neither I nor my clients have time for this. Figure out your algorithm, and maybe I’ll download this again... I often have to just try to close the app and shut off my phone for about a minute. ### 3/5 — Stock split problem *2024-11-04* I teach a stock trading class with this app. SCHG split on Oct 9, but the shares and price have not been adjusted, and it’s Nov 3. So my account shows a huge loss when it should show a big gain. I have emailed several depts and called many numbers for MarketWatch, but so far no one has fixed it.
