## What is MarKit Pro?

MarKit Pro is a camera report and shooting order management tool built for film and commercial production teams, especially for shoots that require pre-lighting, blocking, and rehearsal-based planning.

During pre-production and on-set preparation, camera departments need to record camera settings, lens choices, camera positions, movement notes, and blocking results for each shot. At the same time, directors, assistant directors, and camera teams need a clear way to align on the shooting order. MarKit Pro brings camera reports and shooting order planning into one iPad-based workflow, reducing the need to manage shot information across spreadsheets, chat threads, and temporary notes.

With MarKit Pro, camera teams can efficiently document camera parameters for every shot during blocking and pre-lighting, while also reviewing rehearsal media connected to each shot. This helps the team confirm camera placement, lens decisions, movement plans, and execution details before the actual shoot begins.

Each shot is displayed as a movable node on a visual canvas. Users can freely reposition shot nodes, connect multiple shots, and quickly rearrange the shooting order. Compared with traditional spreadsheets, this canvas-based workflow makes it easier to adapt to changing production needs and helps directors, cinematographers, and assistant directors understand the current shooting plan at a glance.

MarKit Pro serves as a communication bridge between the camera department, directors, and assistant directors on film and commercial sets. It helps teams organize shot information faster, clarify shooting order more effectively, and maintain a smoother workflow from pre-lighting and blocking through the final shoot.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-28

Canvas and Shot Card Improvements
Improved Shot Card positioning and layout stability, fixing overlapping nodes, incorrect positions, and broken connection rendering in existing projects.
Redesigned the Shot Number Tag as a true external card label, with a 6px overlap for a more integrated and dimensional appearance.
Updated Tag collision and layout calculations to prevent tags from overlapping other Shot Cards.
Added 20px grid snapping when moving Shot Cards for a more structured canvas layout.
Removed canvas marquee selection and restored blank-area canvas panning.
Improved automatic node arrangement in both horizontal and vertical layouts.
Improved connection routing so lines avoid other Shot Cards and Tags, reducing intersections and awkward paths across rows and columns.
iPad Interaction Improvements
Enlarged the actual touch target for connection points while keeping the visible dots compact.
Added automatic canvas panning when dragging a connection near the edge of the canvas, making it possible to connect Shot Cards outside the current viewport.
Improved Mac trackpad pinch-to-zoom and WebKit gesture compatibility.
Improved stability when working with large, media-heavy projects on iPad.
Camera Report
Renamed “Canvas left-to-right order” to “Canvas layout order”.
In horizontal layout, reports follow the canvas order from left to right, then continue on the next row.
In vertical layout, reports follow the canvas order from top to bottom, then continue in the next column to the right.
Fixed incorrect ordering of parallel Shot nodes.
When multiple parallel Shots connect to the same downstream Shot, the report waits until all preceding nodes have been output, preserving the correct shot structure and order.
.mkt Project Export
Improved progress feedback during .mkt project package export.
Media preparation now shows the actual current item and total item count.
Added a dedicated archive creation stage to prevent the progress display from appearing stuck at 93/93.
The native archive stage now shows a clear working status and an indeterminate progress bar.
Improved status feedback and usability when exporting large project packages.
Other Improvements
Maintained iOS 17 compatibility.
Fixed multiple Canvas, node dragging, connection routing, and export issues.
Continued improving readability, stability, and workflow efficiency for large shot-planning projects.
