## What is Markoshiki?

Markoshiki is a logic puzzle game, similar to Sudoku or Futoshiki.

You need to fill the numbers missing from a board, split in four quadrants, which already has some numbers in it.

The rules are simple:
• Numbers grow in a clockwise direction following the arrows.
• Consecutive numbers are in the same row or column as the previous number, but in different quadrants.
• The numbers that are already in the board when you start the game cannot be modified.

## Key features

- Quadrant-based number filling
- Clockwise number progression
- Unique rule set
- Unmodifiable pre-filled numbers
- Sudoku-like gameplay

### 5/5 — Good, but could be harder

*2025-07-31*

It’s one of my favorite logic puzzle games, but even its hardest difficulty isn’t hard. It could be updated for larger sized grids and a higher difficulty level. Additionally, we should be allowed to put more than four pencilmarks in a cell if we desire. Sometimes I want to go heavy with the pencilmarks and map out the possibilities to find the next forced move, and it is so disappointing when I just need the space for one or two more.

### 4/5 — Very good

*2022-06-11, version 1.1.1*

Really good game! The only annoying thing is that the levels are repeating a lot!!! I play at extreme, and I am getting bored.

### 5/5 — Perfect size and difficulty

*2020-05-26*

Love these puzzles, the different grid options, and the difficulty settings. I just wish there was a higher level of difficulty or grid size.

This is a very simple game but very engaging. The app is well designed and easy to use. A great alternative to Sudoku.

### 5/5 — Best Logic puzzle ever

*2017-07-19, version 1.1.1*

Very simple interface but at the extreme level an oh so challenging game to play. Can't put it down.

### 5/5 — Excellent
