## What is Marrow?

Marrow is the best app for keeping all your health data securely in one easy-to-read place.

It reads from 25+ apps and devices and has its own nutrition and fitness logging as well. From there, you choose where to send your data using AI, MCP, automations or manual exports.

DATA SOURCES

Anything that writes to Apple Health can be read into Marrow, and the Sources page tells you which apps and devices are sending data. Hevy and Intervals.icu can also connect directly with an API key.

Marrow reads 170+ Apple Health data types: steps, heart rate, HRV, sleep stages, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, body composition, cycle tracking and more.

WHAT YOU LOG

Meals: take a photo, say it or type it, and Marrow fills in the nutrition. There's a barcode scanner too, and a food database built into the app, so quick search works without internet. Each meal tracks 39 nutrients.

Workouts: tell Marrow what equipment your gym has, and it builds a lifting program around your days and goals. You can easily track your progress on each lift across 750+ exercises and see how you're improving. You can also track cardio and other workouts.

You can log water throughout the day, and your weight too.

With an MCP connection, you can also log all of this just by talking to your AI.

DATA EXPORTS

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, Le Chat, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any MCP client, and your AI can read and write your data, based on your permissions, with 20+ tools. With this data, you can get personalized insights on how to improve your health and reach your goals.

Automations send CSV or JSON on a schedule, even with the app closed, to n8n, Zapier, Make, Home Assistant, Google Sheets, Grafana, InfluxDB or any webhook URL. You can also export a file whenever you want one (CSV, JSON or GPX).

People have built dashboards and other projects on top of it. You can see them at marrowhealthapp.com/built-with.

ALSO IN THE APP

A body map showing which muscles you're working. Logging streaks. Custom daily notifications based on your goals. An Apple Watch app for quick logging, plus Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.

SUBSCRIPTION AND TERMS

Marrow is available for free, with the option to upgrade to Marrow Pro through an auto-renewing subscription or a lifetime purchase. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time in your Apple ID settings.

PRIVACY

There's no account, and there are no ads or trackers. The only outside SDK is RevenueCat, which handles purchases and never sees health data. Your health data stays on your iPhone unless you send it somewhere (a connection, Cloud MCP or an AI log), and the app makes it clear when that happens. Otherwise, all of your data is stored locally on your phone, where only you can see it.

Requires iOS 17 or later and Apple Health.

Marrow is a wellness app, not a medical device. It doesn't diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Talk to your doctor before making medical decisions.

### 5/5 — One of the Best Health Tracking Apps I’ve Used!

*2026-10-22*

I’m genuinely impressed with Marrow Health! I’ve been looking for an app that makes tracking my nutrition, fitness, and overall health easier, and this one has exceeded my expectations.

What really sets it apart is the ChatGPT integration. I can simply tell ChatGPT what I’ve eaten, including exact ingredient weights and nutritional information, and have my meals recorded in Marrow Health. The information then syncs with Apple Health, including calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber, sodium, and more. I’ve tested the integration, and it works beautifully!

I also appreciate the ability to track workouts, monitor progress, and keep my health information organized in one place. It’s especially useful for someone like me who is serious about losing weight, improving nutrition, and building muscle.

The app is clean, intuitive, affordable, and genuinely useful. It’s refreshing to find something that makes health tracking feel less like a chore.

I understand this is a relatively new app, and I sincerely hope the developer continues supporting and improving it for years to come. There’s tremendous potential here, and I’d love to see Marrow Health become a long-term success.

Thank you to the developer for creating something so useful. You’ve earned my five stars, and I’m excited to see what’s next!

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed and thoughtful review! It’s amazing to hear that the app has been working well for you and that you’ve been enjoying the new ChatGPT integration. While you’re right that we’re relatively new, Marrow Health is here to stay, and updates will keep coming to support you and all our users. Please reach out anytime if you have ideas for how the app could better meet your needs! 🙌

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-10-05*

I have had great success with this app. I like being able to track my workouts week by week, so I know where I can bump up the wait. I like how easy it is to use. It is an awesome motivator for me.

**Developer response:** Hey Huel! So glad to hear the workout feature has been working well for you. Feel free to reach out anytime if you have any thoughts on how it could be improved! 😀

### 5/5 — Worth trying!

*2026-09-24*

One of the better calorie tracking apps I’ve used. Would recommend to anyone trying to get a grip on their health and fitness

**Developer response:** I appreciate the feedback, Jake! It’s great to hear that you’ve had a good experience with the app. Feel free to reach out at any time if there’s anything you think could make it better! 😎

### 5/5 — So good I want to Pay

*2026-09-18*

Honestly, this app is fantastic, I don’t personally have much use for the AI exports and MCP server configurations (yet), but i’m sure I will! This privacy respecting, no ads health/fitness tracking app is perfect for my needs of tracking my nutritional content! I’ve already submitted a potential bug report via the Email, so hopefully that gets resolved soon! Otherwise a truly top notch app! Would totally be interested or willing to partake in beta testing feature releases!

**Developer response:** I really appreciate the kind words, Michael, and I’m so glad you’ve found the app useful! Your feedback as a beta tester has been incredibly helpful, and the bug you reported has been fixed. Thanks again for the support! 🚀

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-10-28

The Export tab is now Connects, with three pages: Sources, AI and Exports.

Sources shows every wearable and app sending data to Apple Health.

Hevy and Intervals.icu now connect directly with a key.

Free now includes 3 connections and Pro includes 20. Sources don't count toward either.

Set an active calories goal in Goals.

Lifts are sorted by what you log most.

Hold an exercise in the logger to remove it.

Bug fixes: an automation with nothing new to send no longer shows as failed, and raw-sample automations with a custom list of metrics now include sleep stages. Recently logged now shows every food in your diary, including barcode, photo, voice and AI meals.

### 1.5 — 2026-10-23

Fixed: after scanning a barcode you had scanned before, the portion sheet sometimes did not open, and the "tap to log" banner and the + button stopped responding until Marrow was reopened. Scans now open the portion sheet every time.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-10-18

Copy a day's food from yesterday or any other day, from the menu on the Meals card. Press and hold a chart in Data to read the exact value. The water chart now fills from your logs, and a barcode the database did not know stays with the food you add for it, so the next scan finds it.

My plates: build a plate from foods (search, your recent foods, your dining hall or a restaurant), save it, and log the whole plate in one tap. Editing a plate can update what you already logged from it.

Restaurant menus (Pro): over 50 chains with the nutrition facts from their own menus, in the log. App color (Pro): ten palettes for the whole app, from Settings > App color.

Workouts: programs are built to the session length you pick. Choose your training days when setting one up. Edit a planned workout from its preview and every week ahead follows.

Home: the day overview is back at the bottom (active calories, exercise minutes, steps and your weight), with a switch under Settings > Customization. Pro members see their plan on Home, and the Weight and Water sheets match the rest of the app.

### 1.4 — 2026-10-15

Workouts, built around your gym. Tell Marrow what equipment you have and it builds a program for your days and goals, with sets, reps and the weights to try, and adjusts as you lift. Log with last time's numbers in front of you, a rest timer, warm-up sets and supersets. A body map of 22 muscles shows what your week has covered. 777 exercises with photos, or create your own. Everything you logged before is still there, under the same names the library uses.

Marrow on Apple Watch: calories left, macros, water and your last meals on your wrist, with complications. Say what you ate and your iPhone logs it.

Also: the Connect your AI card shows what a connected AI can do, a connected AI now tells warm-ups from working sets, and every new screen is in all 30 languages.

### 1.3.4 — 2026-10-05

Your AI can log for you. With Connect your AI (Marrow Pro), turn on Allow AI write and ask ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to log a meal, water, your weight, a workout, a lifting session, sleep, a symptom or your mood, to fix or remove an entry, or to change your targets. Your phone applies each request and writes it to Apple Health, entries are marked with the AI that added them, and anything can be undone. It is off until you turn it on.

Widgets: today's calories and macros, your daily statistics and quick logging on the Home Screen, plus Lock Screen widgets.

A streak on Home: log food two days running and a flame keeps count.

Workout logging: typing in a set no longer changes a different box, last time's numbers sit under each set, and Finish workout is at the top, under the clock.

Also: a redesigned Marrow Pro page, the same hide-keyboard button on every keyboard, a tidier Log sheet and Settings, and our new home at marrowhealthapp.com.

The privacy policy and terms were updated to cover AI logging.
