### 4/5 — Wo sind die Rover Curiosity und Perseverance?

*2022-12-15*

Eigentlich ein tolles Programm, aber leider nicht mehr aktuell. Die Landestellen der Rover Curiosity und Perseverance sind ihm unbekannt. Daher nur vier Sterne.

### 4/5 — Amazing

*2018-11-02*

Very well done ... although I somehow had expected that a HD version could go much further into details, similar to Google Earth ...

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2017-04-13, version 2.3*

The map landscape is highly detailed however there are 2 major flaws. 1 the atmosphere of mars is actually a baby blue color look at NASA Hubble photos of mars in 2003 and 1997 and you will know what I am talking about most NASA surface images show the sky sometimes as an orange brown color because dust storms 2 the face on mars needs to be a landmark it is landmarked on google Mars. 40.89 degrees North , 9.55 degrees west

### 5/5 — Fantastisch

*2016-11-29*

Sehr schön gemacht und dazu noch informativ.

### 4/5 — Mars Globe

*2016-11-29*

I Think It's Wonderful, If Your Really Lucky & Have 15 Minutes To Look Down A Powerful Telescope & Make Comparisons, Finding The Places You Were Looking For, But Soon Men & Women Will Be Going There Either In 2031 Or 2061. That, I Hope Unites Astronauts & Cosmonauts, The Best People From Around The World & Not Just One Continent, To Make Great Discoveries in the Future, Because of All The Hard Work, Done By Those in the Past!

### 4/5 — Decent visuals

*2016-08-28*

Nice app, but a shame you can't input latitude and longitude

### 5/5 — Großartig

*2016-08-22*

### 5/5 — Nice Tour of Mars

*2016-02-26*

Nice detail and information.

### 5/5 — iPhone and iPad Retina!!!

*2015-10-02*

I have over 500 apps and this is my favourite by far. Can't imagine any reason for giving this less than 5 stars. Along with the nearly identical Moon Globe app from the same developer it's gives you an uncanny feeling of actually being there, not just of viewing the surface but actually visiting these two bodies in space. The adjustable lighting reveals that Mars is not only 3D in the sense of being a globe but also in the sense of having actual 3D mountains and canyons and craters ect embossed into its surface. It contains a stupefying amount of information about our red brother - more than even an astronaut going there would need - and the swipe gestures for zooming and panning and orbiting are so smoothly and intuitively interpreted that you feel like you're controlling it with your mind rather than your screen. Thanks so much for making this a Universal app that works on the iPhone!!!

### 5/5 — A must-have for Mars lovers

*2015-09-28*

A virtual Mars globe with toggle-able photorealistic and topographic display, complete with adjustable lighting and guided tour. Sure, you can see more detailed patches in Google Mars, but this app lets you feel like you have a perfectly formed miniature planet in your pocket. And it's a joy to operate.

### 5/5 — Virtual Orbit

*2015-03-03*

This app seems to put me in orbit above Mars.
I like to zoom in, slide the viewing window to the horizon, & slowly rotate the planet, so that I seem to be looking through the window of a space craft.
I expect that it's the closest that I'll ever get to the surface of Mars in this life-time.
Thank you.

### 4/5 — Great Interactivity and Basic Info

*2014-12-30*

I downloaded this app while reading the book "The Martian" by Andy Weir so I could get a good sense of the Martian journey. I would have given it five stars if it had missing detail and names but am otherwise pleasantly surprised for an iPhone app. The HD is worth the small upgrade. Highly recommended for anyone interesting in exploring Mars!

### 5/5 — Well done!

*2014-04-27*

This beautifully illustrated app is easy and fun to use, and contains detailed labeling and good cross-links for further information. Kudos.

### 5/5 — MARS HD!!

*2014-01-18, version 2.2.4*

Une très bonne application, j'adore.

### 5/5 — Put Mars in your pocket

*2013-11-05*

A highly detailed interactive Mars globe to take wherever you go.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2013-10-27*

Great app!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Begs for reviews

*2015-12-31*

That's it. If you beg for reviews, you get 0 stars.

### 1/5 — useless for observing

*2014-04-16, version 2.2.4*

Can't tell where mars is supposed to be at local time so this app is useless for locating features while observing with a telescope.

### 2/5 — Disappointing quality

*2019-08-15*

Disappointing, for the money spent by this world sending probes to Mars, the quality and zoom factor is most poor. Maybe "they've" not had time to doctor all the images yet.

### 2/5 — Please update!

*2018-01-01, version 2.3*

This app needs to be update for the iPhone X and the new iOS

### 2/5 — Meh

*2013-01-03*

Waste of money. It's pretty but that's about it. Google Maps: Mars has higher resolution maps and a much more extensive list of locations. Use the free version of this or the Google version and go buy a coffee instead.

### 2/5 — Mars hd shortcomings

*2012-02-08*

I would like to see the app offer a real time view. In other words, what is on the central meridian of the planet at the time. Also a longitude and latitude scale and the location of the satellites. The current view should also show the proper tilt and give data on the disk size, illumination and distance. The current version is useless for the amateur observer.

### 2/5 — ??!

*2011-05-29, version 2.1.1*

I gave it a 2 because I don't see any difference in the resolution. Nada. Free version looks just the same- crisp and sharp. I call shenanigans - but wouldn't have minded paying for the free version - so whatever.

### 2/5 — Not worth it

*2010-06-12*

Not worth it. Looks nice zoomed out but zoom in a little doesn't look nice at all. Don't know while the file size is so large most of the info the app takes you just to a website. Don't buy it. Not worth .99

### 3/5 — Not too good

*2013-02-15, version 2.2.4*

Not enough details for close view

### 3/5 — Mars for the rest of us

*2012-12-24, version 2.2.4*

This application is a necessity for anyone that wants to follow activities of discovery on Mars. I recommend this application.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Toll

*2026-03-17*

Gut gemacht, funktioniert super

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-09-25*

This app is great!

### 5/5 — Best of the Best

*2022-12-01*

My go to app for identifying Martian surface features. Mars reaches opposition on Dec 7, 2022. I will be imagining the planet through my telescope to record high resolution photographs and will use this app to figure out what I’m looking at.

### 5/5 — Great app -- sorely in need of an update.

*2021-02-23*

The app is great, but is sorely in need of an update. For example, it doesn't have InSight or Perserverence. HD textures are blurry when zoomed in on modern iOS.

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2020-05-10*

This amateur astronomer gives this app a 10/10. Super detailed and beautiful. LOVE IT!!!

### 5/5 — Please update!!!

*2019-06-02*

Please update by adding to the app the sun and earth and mars moons Phobos and demos and also make the sun more defined in color so that the light of the sun shows up rather then just the light showing up cause you make it look like mars can’t see the sun and Mars’s moons and earth at all. Thank you. PS recommend/mandatory for the ratings boost and ratings numbers getting higher if you care about having more fans that want your apps just saying. Thank you for your consideration.

### 5/5 — Guter Marsglobus

*2019-03-31*

Perfekt um sich auf dem Mars zu orientieren und die wichtigsten geographischen Punkte und Landschaften zu finden.

### 5/5 — Nice, can you fix the dead links?

*2018-07-17*

This is not a criticism as it most likely out of your control. The NASA links, or at least the many I’ve tried thus far don’t work, or at least not on my 2017 iPad. If possible, is this something that can be rectified in a future upgrade? No matter, for the price it is a valuable resource.

### 5/5 — Excellent way to see Mars

*2017-10-12*

If you want to understand what we know about Marsography, the app is excellent.

### 5/5 — Awesome. Like Mars.

*2017-03-11*

Would love a similar apps for Ceres and Mercury.

Also a reset button.
