## What is Marshmallows?

Marshmallows helps you build better daily habits by making restraint visible. Choose the apps that distract you most, set your day-start time, and let Marshmallows help you pause before impulsively unlocking them.

Earn willpower through:

Staying away from selected distracting apps
Constructive activities, like sports and breathing exercises

When you try to open a blocked app, Marshmallows gives you a short interruption screen before you decide whether to resist or unlock. Your daily score updates throughout the day, showing how much willpower you’ve earned from phone restraint and constructive activity.

Marshmallows is designed for people who want a simple, honest way to train self-control one day at a time.

Health data is only used to read workout activity and calculate fitness-based willpower credits. Marshmallows does not write Health data.

### 1/5 — Changed completely

*2026-06-14*

The recent update turned this into a screen time management app (that for some reason wants access to your fitness data). If you’re looking for a pomodoro app, look elsewhere. There’s no timer here at all anymore.

### 4/5 — Great Pomodoro App

*2024-07-03*

Great app, very clean, simple, and free of distractions.

Stacking and the random rewards were a little confusing for a while, and there’s no help option inside the app to explain them. I would also appreciate an option for setting a custom goal.

But other than that, it’s my favorite pomodoro app out of dozens I’ve tried!

### 5/5 — lightweight pomodor timer ❤️

*2024-06-06*

I love how cute and lightweight this app is, but idk how to set things like break length? i am using it as a pomodoro timer
