I forget his name.. Doing something similar on his video podcast when the iPhone first came out... I knew right then I wanted to do it. Now thanks to this app I always have a trick ready at all times especially in situations where I may not be prepared. My one request is to update the app with atleast one or two Israeli coins like the shekel and or half shekel. I live in Israel and this would be a great tool there! ### 5/5 — Great trick! *2009-09-18, version 0* Easy to learn and set up. Would like to be able to intract with the coin, drag around screen. Maybe the ability to add another coin to the screen so two coins appear one after the other. Such is the case here. To make this trick convincing you do need to master the french drop which is a simple slight of hand technique used in many close-up tricks and which he goes over in the included video. It's not difficult but takes practice to do well. The app does the rest automatically to give you a really impressive illusion. It's especially miraculous to spectators who know little about the capabilities of the iphone. Highly recommended! ### 5/5 — Awesome *2009-03-07, version 0* A real buyer! If you are on the fence, buy it, you won't regret it. I've also found an alternative method of performing the trick if you have trouble with the recommended french drop. Follow all the other instructions setting up the screen shot and choosing your coin, but what you can do is avoid the grinding in part and pre-swipe it while it is in your pocket. That way when you pull it out, you will have the coin rolling around in there and you use the line "Don't you hate it when you leave loose change in your pocket an it gets stuck in your phone!" Have the actual coin behind the phone and shake it out like normal. Voilà, a non french drop approach to this trick. ### 5/5 — Soooo Legit! *2009-02-27, version 0* This app is so sick. Anyone can do it, and it works on almost everyone. MARTY u rock! Keep coming out with more magic apps! Tried reinstalling it, restarting my phone and it still just freezes. Id like to manipulate the coin a little more. It needs many more coins I use a silver dollar for most of my coin stuff and thats not in ther. It really does very little. I'd like to be able to grab and manipulate the coin, push it off the edge, change it into a different coin, mark the coin, etc. If all of Marty's Magic basic tricks were rolled into a single app, the $3 price tag might start to make sense. It would be a cool option on next version to be able to have the phone simulate the sound of coin dropping onto screen of phone! I perform this effect using the retention Pass,then brush edge of my palm on screen while opening my hand palm down as if I dumped coin onto screen. If the phone would play a (recordable) sound effect of a coin landing on screen then the illusion would be complete. Please consider this as a future option! I like that it has sound but it would be nice if it sounded more like a real coin. Experimentation with the setup features made this piece all but invisible to even the discriminating eye. Having been in magic for most of my life, I have two suggestions. 1) An old style quarter. Sure they are phasing out the old quarters, but I'm more likey to encounter a 1981 quarter than a Euro or even a Morgan. 2) As the appearance of the coin is a set spot (great subtley ++), make its orientation consistent as well. Same spot, same way, every time. That's it. #1 is a wish-list idea, but #2 helps the creative transform this app into something special. But now after four years there's finally a new update and it includes optimization for the iPhone 6 which I now have. Thanks! This app is more stable and you don't have to worry about flashing. Even with the shake sensitivity setting set at the lowest rate on the c2p, the coin can accidentally reappear with very little hand movement after you apparently extracted the coin from the screen. Then again, it can be attributed to lack of practice. I like the feature that you can customize your own coin to use on this app. I been using it and showing the effect whomever I come across. ### 5/5 — Awesome app!!! *2011-07-26, version 2.0* I'm a serious coin worker, and I think this app is the bee's knees for impromptu performances and more. But..., that said, I do have a request. If you can add popularly used Chinese coins like Johnsons or others. That would be AWESOME! I have some new ideas, and it requires Chinese coins. So, if you're able to throw in that. This is one of the few good magic tricks for the itouch/phone that YOU actually need a sliver of skill to preform. This means that your friends will not be able to figure it out unless you mess up.
