### 3/5 — New Version is terrible.

*2026-05-29*

The old app was great, but this newer version is incredibly difficult to use. It keeps defaulting to an instructor that I haven’t used in months. The UI is not intuitive at all. I wish they’d go back to the old version. It was light years better.

### 4/5 — Nice but abandoned

*2022-11-26, version 2021.1*

The app is great to use and has some of the best UX of the lot out there, but too bad it seems abandoned by the developers

### 4/5 — Great App

*2020-03-01*

The new update seems to have caused an issue where the “what did you train” selector is broken. It’s stuck on whatever selection is automatically selected. Other than that, great way to log hours on the mat for any combat sport.

### 4/5 — Only complaint is not being able to track different martial arts separately.

*2020-01-27*

This is a great app! I love using it to track my progress, but like I said in the title, I wish I could see my different martial arts separately and not just together. I train primarily in BJJ, but I also do Muay Thai and those activities show up like a no gi class. I would love if there was a “total training” tab and then single ones of every martial art you’ve logged, to see how much mat time I’ve spent on them individually. I’m begging for this update!

### 4/5 — Best Combat Sports app

*2020-01-15, version 2019.12.2*

Great app, in terms of look design and feel and predictive selection. I would say though that it should allow for a secondary sport selection, for people who practise multiple sports. I.e I do BJJ and Muay Thai. Also it would be great to allow for reminders on set days and time just after I train so I use the app more often, and get to keep a track of my training more regularly.

### 3/5 — Great but...

*2020-01-07, version 2019.12.2*

My hours are no longer showing up correctly. I deleted my post for this week to try and post again and it made my hours go in to the negatives. I posted again and it’s back to 0. This has never happened before

### 3/5 — Needs day of week on fees

*2019-11-11*

Great app for tracking my BJJ and MMA. Devs please consider putting the day of the week on the training days in the feed. It’s easier to keep track of them and enter in multiple trainings being able to see if it’s Thursday or Saturday.

### 4/5 — So far so good

*2019-09-27*

Maybe not as intuitive as it could be. Seems to be a bug with entering location when logging training. Otherwise a solid app as far

### 4/5 — Love the App!

*2019-09-02, version 2019.7*

It’s the best app for logging BJJ activities and competitions I have found so far.
For Competition log, in win/loss log, I wish there was an option to add data on:
a) the nature of win/loss eg ‘By Points’ or ‘By Submission’ and then the actual points/submission;
b) the name/gym/academy of the opponent.

### 5/5 — Awesome app for BJJ training.

*2019-08-13*

I used to use apple notes for tracking my training. But sharing it was a pain and I always felt like I was writing an essay. This is great because it makes selecting the techniques you trained easy to track (if I want to elaborate with an essay I still can). I can track gi or no-gi, which gi I was using (this is a great tool for monitoring gi lifespan), how long I spent on training and sparring... etc. It really does everything I want it to do. Sharing with friends and checking in to see what they’re doing is a great plus too.

Love this app. I’ve been recommending it a lot to all my friends who train.

### 3/5 — It works

*2019-08-12, version 2019.6*

Does the job. Price is right.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2019-07-28, version 2019.6*

It’s very easy to track my progress in jiu-jitsu. It has some few bugs. But hey, I’m not complaining. It’s free easy to use and gets the job done

### 4/5 — Great except for one thing

*2019-07-13*

This is by far my favorite bjj log on the App Store. That being said, can you please add a way to sync logged sessions with the health app? I track all of my workouts in one place and would love this feature.

### 5/5 — Really love this app

*2019-06-24, version 2019.4*

I love this app because it has everything I need to log in my Jiu jitsu journey without using paper. Thank you for keeping this free too!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — New version

*2025-11-29, version 2025.3*

This new upgrade is awful. The previous version was great.

### 1/5 — Defective

*2024-03-09, version 2021.1*

This app keeps freezing when I’m logging in my stats.

### 1/5 — Ridículo

*2019-08-14, version 2019.6*

App pra Jiujitsu sem nenhuma academia do Brazil cadastrada , não tem como terminar o cadastro , funções inúteis não recomendo

### 1/5 — Not Family Friendly

*2019-05-06*

My kids BJJ Studio started using this app to track training and competitions for the kids. Issue is that I have three kids and the app only allows you to track one person with a single account or email address. So, even though the app seems good for a single person, not good if you need multiple profiles so that you can track your kids workouts and competitions. I will raise my rating once this issue is resolved.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2019-04-10, version 0.9.91*

You cannot input training data. The feedback addresses are invalid... This app looks like it has potential, if it actually worked...

### 1/5 — Can’t use app

*2018-12-16, version 0.9.7*

I was using the weight goal and as soon as I switched it on, the app booted me out. Now I can’t use the app at all, as it just kicks me back out. I would love to change my rating as soon as this is fixed.

### 2/5 — Poor design all around

*2020-10-07*

The app has a lot of great features, but it lacks a flow to the app it is hard to explain but you’ll see. Also no way to block people, and as a social media app it should have that. When trying to unfriend somebody, it won’t go through.

### 2/5 — couldnt get past username

*2019-08-29, version 2019.7*

couldnt use a user name or upload a photo on iphone. i tried around 50 user names not one was accepted come on now app is rubbish

### 2/5 — Has potential

*2019-07-23, version 2019.6*

Looks good, but isn’t really that useful or accurate for recording your progress. Simple basic are missing for what could be a great App

### 2/5 — Great app, lost all my training though

*2019-06-02, version 2019.4*

I used this app for 5months of training and my progress suddenly disappeared and i can't get anything back. Too bad because i enjoyed tracking my stats

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app to track Bjj training

*2023-12-23*

I have had this app for a couple of years now and it is pretty awesome. It allows you to stay organized with your training and have friends along for your journey. Different features like belt timeline and selecting type of training were exactly what i was looking for. There are some features locked behind a subscription but it is worth it if you really find those features useful. I use the features provided and it does the job (ex. selecting photos, move lists, professor, and time). Great app overall if you enjoy bjj!

### 5/5 — training tracker

*2023-06-11, version 2021.1*

great and easy to use to track your training time roll time techniques etc love the gi keeper

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2021-06-23, version 2021.1*

Does exactly what I want and what I need.

### 5/5 — Best BJJ training tracker

*2020-09-10*

I can’t say enough how much of a good job the developers did with this app. It’s everything a BJJ practitioner can hope for in a training tracker app. It even can record down other martial arts too!

### 5/5 — Good app needs work

*2020-03-09, version 2020.3*

Won’t let me adjust my training time to a specific amount

### 5/5 — Really great

*2020-02-26, version 2020.2*

Easy to use and does a great job of tracking.
Could do with a couple of improvements. One would be letting us add categories to a competition (gi, nogi, absolutes) to record wins/loses in them as one instead of creating a new competition log for each.
Might be cool if it could send reminders (like at the end of the day) to log anything done or if you can set reminders for a certain time.

### 5/5 — Best app for Bjj! Some suggestions

*2020-01-27*

First of all, thank you so much for making this app available for everyone. I love the app, it works great. 5/5 hands down!

I just have some suggestion regarding categorization of trainings. I do BJJ and other training such as Muay thai, boxing, wrestling, strength training, etc. All the training sessions other than Gi BJJ gets categorized under No-gi, which makes it hard for me to see what kind of workouts I have done throughout the weeks, months and years. I wish the data logged the different types along with the Gi and No-gi.

Another pain point was that I kept looking for a tab of some sort that allowed me to toggle between BJJ training and others such as Muay Thai. I understand the app was mainly designed for BJJ but this app could really become a BIG DEAL in the martial arts community if the details were there for all the other arts too and be able to freely switch between disciplines! Hope this review catches the developer’s eye! I will be looking forward to the upcoming updates. Cross my fingers.

Anyways, thank you so much for this app. I greatly appreciate it, and I will recommend this app to everyone that trains martial arts!!

### 5/5 — Practical and easy to use!

*2019-12-14, version 2019.12*

I love this app it only takes a few moments to log my training!

### 5/5 — Great Tracking App

*2019-10-18*

Have really enjoyed using the app so far. It would be even better if I could copy the text out of the notes or add trainings I’m tagged in to my training logs. Thanks for the effort on the app!

### 5/5 — Update

*2019-10-03, version 2019.10*

The newest update has a bug where the dates and techniques appear blank. Otherwise awesome app!
