I am having issues synchronizing my purchases between the ipad and the iphone app. Would improve rating if I could have this problem fixed.

I cannot download even the free reviews. It stays on downloading. After I stop the download and when I hit the comic I want to look at, the loading screen doesn’t finish loading. So I can’t look at anything. I haven’t spent any money on the app yet so it could’ve been worse.

All of your purchased and redeemed comics you have stored in the Marvel app don’t sync with the Marvel unlimited application. Your account does work on both, but for some reason the app does not recognize any comics that are currently in your library. 
This would all be resolved if Marvel provided a standard file that could be downloaded to your device once it is redeemed or purchased. That way digital comics are actually owned instead of just borrowed when and only when you have access to the internet. Accessing comics in the application offline is not convenient. 
If one could use a standard reading application then it won’t be a problem when the app won’t open for some reason.

So I decided to try this out for the convenience sake, I downloaded it and bought world war hulk. I was able to read it no problem so I decide to go ahead and get another one and bought iron man demon in a bottle a week ago and it wouldn’t download. I tried to stop the download and restart it to no avail. After a few days of trying it and not hearing back from customer service I delete the app and reinstall it. Now neither iron man or hulk will download.

I’m reading on an iPad with plenty of spare storage space and I’ve set the app to use as much storage as it needs but for half of the comics I buy it will not let me download them or let me read them at all. I’ve tried closing out of the app and even waiting a couple days but that didn’t accomplish anything. One time deleting and reinstalling the app worked for me but even that doesn’t always work. It’s alright other than that but this is a significant problem for me.

Edit: The problem might come from signing into my Marvel account. I would have to do more testing but it seems to work fine before I’m signed in but not work after I sign in. Still weird and I feel like that should be fixed.

I usually love this app. But the latest update makes the home page not work. When I click home in stays it can’t connect to “comixology” but the other pages work like discover, free, just added. The home page is the most important page how can It not work

Love the app and the digital equivalents of my phone physical comics. Two features would make it amazing though. 1) custom lists for reading order. Let us choose to read the x-men comics in the chronological order or like an event. Sharing those lists would be extra cool.  2) have a filter option for both unread and inprogress at the same time.

Is there a more official place to make feature requests?

I wish comics you could just read comics you brought instead of having to download the entire comic arch. Also when you buy a arch you can’t just read one issue of the arch you have to read the entire arch and have to buy the issues separately. Other than that I enjoy the marvel comics app.

I’ve loved this app for so long, being able to keep up with comics when I didn’t have access to get physical copies has been amazing. But, the current version won’t even open. I’ve even hard restarted my phone and still the app simple crashes before loading anything. Really disappointed

When you are reading through an issue 1 and reach the end to be greeted with a “Buy Next “ button to quickly press and continue your journey, the next item in queue should be “Issue 2”, and not “Issue 1: the more expensive Director’s cut” .

Not like you guys don’t already get enough of my money.

It’s a good alternative to those who don’t like other comic book companies but comixology is the best way too go. After you read a book make sure too store it in the cloud that way your app doesn’t crash

I love this app! Always happy to kill time by reading some of my favorite stories. Lately though the app has been kinda wonky. When I see some new releases or I’m interested in buying a volume, I’ll purchase the book but it won’t download. I hit retry, retry, retry but still the book will not download. So as I’m writing this review I’m re-installing the app again to get it to work properly. Hopefully Marvel fixes this issue.

I used to have this app. The comics I Reese were awesome. Later on    I needed some space in my storage for other apps, so I deleted it. A year or two later I reinstalled it. That was when the trouble started. I was looking for some comics to download when I saw the fbcd avengers #1. I clicked purchase and a few minutes later, it shows in my books section with a pause symbol on it. I clicked it and two symbols came. The download symbol and the delete symbol. I clicked the download symbol and the pause symbol appeared again. I did then deleted the comic and downloaded it again, but it would still be the same. There is no line that is rotating the pause symbol that means it is downloading. Can you help me, Marvel Comics developers?

This app has a recent issue, it doesn’t allow you to make changes to your wishlist. You cant really remove comics from it. It continues to show the comics you removed. This also keeps you from adding new items to your wishlist. I think this should be changed in the next app update.

When i first got this app it was awesome I was always reading comics! But then when I decided to put in my own it just broke now I can’t read any new ones I get on there and I can’t read the digital version of ones i own. Also it’s not my internet so please just fix that problem and I’ll bring my rating back up to five stars

So I’ve had this app for while now and it’s been working properly until now. When checking out a comic the price is flashing from loading to the amount it’s for. You purchase your comic (if you can) the comic isn’t downloading at all 😐. Not liking this.

Customer service is awful. I bought Thor two weeks ago, couldn’t download it. I contacted customer service and never heard back. Because I love comics, I kept the app. Today there is a new issue where I can’t buy the books at all. Fix your app or at the very least support it because those Russian sites never do this…

I’ve bought 3 books and have had an extremely hard time getting this garbage app to load or download them. I’ve reinstalled/restarted the app, restarted my phone, did all sorts of network troubleshooting and nothing worked. Finally, I archived all the books I had and restored them and it finally started to load. Fix these bugs already. I’ve never had a smooth experience with this app. Everything is a headache. I haven’t bought any more books because I’m tired of going through all this trouble just to load and read them.

None of the digital versions of the comics I’ve physically purchased and redeemed sync into the app after signing in. This appears to have been a problem for many other people for quite some time, so it’s surprising that Marvel still hasn’t done anything to resolve this issue. Furthermore, I am currently not even able to sign in no matter how many times I press the sign in button. I use an iPad Air 5th generation. My disappointment is immeasurable and my experience is ruined.

I liked paper comics, but I enjoy that I can redeem my marvel comics. However, the app is supposed to have a My Comics tab to read redeemed comics. The iOS version has a home button, discover, browse, smart lists, my books, but not something called My Comics.

Worse is that in the my books section my redeemed comics are not visible, either.

I downloaded it onto my iPhone and every time I opened the app it wanted me to “join” and “renew my subscription”. I have been logged on with my account (already a member) and as soon as I click on a comic the same dumb prompt would come up. I don’t understand what I have to do to have it acknowledge that it already stole my $10 for the month but I gave up and deleted the app. What a waste of money.

This app is the worst app in this existence. I bought a comic and downloaded the app so I could read it on my tablet and it straight up will not let me read it or open the comic book in the app. It is trash because I paid for the comic and cannot read it at all when I really need to read it. This app is garbage and this entire situation is garbage. I do not recommend getting this app or using the marvel digital comics because it will not let you actually read the comic you purchased. It is incredibly frustrating.

This is not a review of Marvel in any way. I love Marvel and always have. This app, however, is hot garbage. For probably a year now at least when I buy comics they frequently will not load. The comic sits there on the screen alternating between a pause button and a download button. Is it working? It is paused? Who knows? All I know is that I just bought something and can’t read it. Go buy a book through Apple Books or Kindle and watch how quickly it’s available to read. FIX YOUR APP. There’s no excuse for it in this day and age and it’s been happening forever.

I purchased some comics from the app on my phone, but they don’t show up in my tablet.  Also, it can be incredibly buggy when trying to purchase anything.  It took me 30 minutes to purchase one comic recently...I want to love this app, but it consistently broken.  I have a year-old model of iPad and iPhone, it should not be this bad...smh.  Fix your app if you want people to spend money.

I always have to sign in. Passwords and user ID never get stored. Can’t see let alone buy the new comics for some reason some weeks like this one. Send feedback doesn’t allow you to send because the button is covered by the keyboard which there doesn’t seem to be a way to move to click the it. Pain in the rear all around, not intuitive, directs user to books they aren’t looking for.

I purchased two digital comics and it was very frustrating to try to read them on my iPad. The app crashed, wouldn’t turn pages, and it was extremely difficult to open the comics at all! I eventually gave up and read them on my desktop. Shame on you Marvel. This should be as easy as iBooks. I will not be purchasing any more digital comics.

Love the app. High praise and recommend. Is there a way to add a filer or sort by publication date? That would be the only suggestion I would add. It would help with reading orders.

Loving the app! The only suggestion I’d have is creating a comic book playlist. What I envision is a stream of books you create the order for. Especially if people purchased single issues of comics events and want to sequentially read tie-ins and main stories, or if you want read other comics that are help you understand a current comic and you create a playlist for that so it enhances the reader experience by allowing people to readily and rapidly read stories as intended or with enough background information.

I like getting the digital copies of the comics I buy in print and reading them a second time on the app.  My only recommendation for improvement would be to make a feature to redeem digital copies IN THE APP instead of having to go to the website to redeem the digital copies.

This application is one of the main reasons I still read Marvel Comics. The interface is great and I always have something to read while I'm on the go. The ability to redeem codes that you get in other comics that you purchase is invaluable. Are use this app very often and I highly recommend it for anybody who is a fan of comics.
