Especially for someone who wants to catch up on 50yrs worth of comics and cant afford omnibuses ### 4/5 — Love it, 1 minor issue *2026-08-26, version 7.100.1* I was debating the best way to read the Marvel comics, it gets very expensive over time. I found this app through instagram, and it peaked my interest. I downloaded the app and was pleasantly surprised by the layout. It’s like most of the streaming services out there; continue reading, suggestions for you based on your interests, etc. What I really liked is the “events” option where it lays out all the comics leading up to a specific event. You can also add events or individual comics to a reading list where it saves the list to be read another time. It also has a downloads option to save the comics offline for when you have no internet connection. The inability of users to create and share reading lists is nuts by itself. The fact that when you finish reading an issue from a reading list it prompts you for the next issue of the comic instead and you have to exit out all the way and navigate to the reading list is unforgivable. Could be 5 stars if they had an actual playlist function. Scrum person, here you go: As a user I want to be able to define and edit a reading list by issue across titles and I want to be share my reading lists. When reading an issue I navigated to via a list, going to the next issue should be as easy as turning a page. Below the line: search for custom lists and rate and review lists by other users. ### 1/5 — Unusable ui. No offline reading. *2026-07-14, version 7.100.0* You can download comics but can’t read them offline. What’s the point? I get the app wants to confirm with the network that your account is still active before it allows you to enjoy the content but now I can’t read on the subway or otherwise away from the internet. Also between mobile app and desktop your reading point doesn’t sync so I need to do it manually by looking at where I am on my phone vs laptop but if I read on iPad, and don’t have it with me I have to just figure it out if I want to pick up and continue reading from where I was. Going from the issue I’m on to an overview of the series as a whole or related series is pulling teeth. Several unintuitive steps to get there. It’s buried deep in the ui. The ui in general is a mess. Especially on desktop. It’s a mystery I have to solve to go from marvel unlimited website which is a wiki of all films shows and merch. If you search for a comic series of issue it will show you films and tv shows. WHY?! I’m trying to find the Spider-Man issue I want and it just shows me all the movies. I can’t watch the films on this platform, I need Disney plus but instead of showing me Different comic series it shows me films and tv shows that I can’t watch on the platform. I can read Wikipedia for that. I have to leave the website, search google for “marvel unlimited (issue of series I want)” to find different series and issues. The ui of the website itself is totally unusable. I do love the smart panel feature but these other failings make it impossible to really recommend my ### 1/5 — Removing support for Chromebook *2026-07-13, version 7.100.0* Way to get rid of support for a lot of customers Marvel. I’ve been trying to use the web browser for an hour now since the app is no longer supported on Chromebook and it’s a joke. I shouldn’t have to do a google search to find specific books.
