Eleven widgets: today's spending, a budget you pick, your ceiling, a wallet's balance, a goal, what is due this week, safe to spend, your streak under the ceiling, the month's top categories and your total. Log again shows your last four spends with a button beside each; one tap books it again, without opening the app. The Widgets screen in Tools shows every card and how to add it. Most widgets are part of Masareef Pro. A spending ceiling now belongs to the ledger, so a household shares one and the slap lands on whoever crosses it. The Slap screen counts your days under the ceiling. The weekly digest says how many times you were slapped and which prices crept up, and Insights can remind you about a riser tomorrow morning. Settings has a button to request a feature, and the Widgets screen has one to request a widget. Every request from a Pro member lands in my inbox. ### 1.96.0 — 2026-09-15 A transfer's fee now belongs to the transfer. Record what the bank took, out of the amount or added on top, and it stays on that one transaction instead of sitting beside it as a second row you have to remember. The figure you see is the whole operation, so splitting it splits the fee too, and a fee is no longer counted as the same charge arriving twice. For transfers in Egypt, InstaPay's published rate is filled in before your own wallet has shown you what it charges. Once it has, your wallet's own history is used instead. A message printing both an amount and a balance now books the amount, which is what you spent rather than what was left behind. Promotional blasts carrying "discount" and an app link have stopped counting as spending. Settings lists what auto-track has learned about your merchants. You can point a rule at a different category, or remove it. Hold any transaction to see its whole record in full. Hold a day in the ledger to select all of it. Back closes an open sheet instead of leaving the screen. Rename any category, including the ones we ship, and rename a trip. Planned items can be edited. On iOS 27, the steps for setting up automatic capture now match the Shortcuts app you actually see. The old ones sent you to an Automation tab that iOS 27 no longer has. ### 1.91.0 — 2026-09-13 Setting up bank-message capture is shorter. The capture action asks for one thing instead of two, the setup button drops you on the automation screen, and the app can now tell you whether your automation has ever actually run. A shortcut wired to the wrong place used to look exactly like one you never built. Siri logs a spend without opening the app. Say what you spent and it is recorded. Ask Siri to find a spend and the ledger opens on it. Masareef reaches three more places on your iPhone. Control Centre, the Lock Screen and the Action button can add a spend, take one by voice, or hide every figure in the app. That last one works without unlocking. The Home Screen widget comes in a large size that lists your last five spends, and tapping a row opens it. Turn on Spotlight search in Settings and you can find a merchant from the Home Screen. It stays off until you ask for it, and it never puts an amount on your Lock Screen. Share a receipt photo or a PDF statement into Masareef from any app. Invite someone to a shared ledger with a link instead of a code they have to type. If your Pro subscription ends, the app tells you once, and tells you your entries are untouched. On iOS 26 the tab bar is glass. A card's last four digits is no longer read as an amount, and a payment that arrives twice is one row. ### 1.90.0 — 2026-09-10 Your second phone keeps up. Add something on one phone and it appears on the other while the app is open, and everyone in a shared ledger sees the same rows. There is nothing to switch on. A shared ledger is part of Pro. The owner subscribes and brings one person in free. Anyone who joins after that brings their own Pro. On a single free account nothing changes. Your entries save and sync the way they always did. ### 1.89.1 — 2026-09-09 Pro: add something on one phone and your other phone, or a household member's, has it within seconds, even while the app is in the background. There is nothing to set up. If you have one phone and no household, nothing changes for you, and the app makes fewer background requests than before. Screens open with everything already on them. Double charges, refunds and unusual charges show what they found the moment they open, however many there are. Settings and Wallets appear in one go, and going back to Settings no longer leaves it blank. If you have just signed in, you see a loading shimmer while your data arrives instead of a screen that says there is nothing yet. Reopening the app keeps the tab you were on lit under your finger. Going back from Categories, Goals, Debts, Planned and Recurring no longer flickers. Count your cash asks which wallet you are counting first, and shows what each one holds, so two cash wallets are easy to tell apart. Voice answers sooner. When the first reading is clear, it is used at once instead of waiting for a second pass.
