## What is Masarefy?

Masarefy is a private, local-first expense tracker for iPhone - built for everyday spending in Egypt, the Gulf, and beyond.
Your transactions, wallets, budgets, and goals stay on your device. If you turn on iCloud Sync, your data syncs through your own iCloud account - not ours, because we don't run any servers. No sign-up, no ad network, no analytics following you around the web.
An alternative to subscription-based money trackers that hold your data hostage.

***Does Masarefy require an account?
No. There is no sign-up. Your data is keyed to your device (and your iCloud, if you opt in).
Does it read my SMS inbox automatically?
No. iOS does not allow that, and we would not want it. SMS content reaches Masarefy only when you paste it or run a Shortcut you set up.
Where does my data live?
On your device, in Apple's SwiftData store. If you turn on iCloud Sync, it also lives in your private CloudKit database - your iCloud, not ours.
Which banks are supported?
CIB, Banque Misr, NBE, Alex Bank, plus InstaPay and Vodafone Cash, in English and Arabic. You can also write your own rules.
Is there a subscription?
No. Masarefy is free.
Does it support multiple currencies?
Yes. Set any currency code; the app formats amounts using your device's locale.

Unparsed bank messages are no longer lost. Anything the app couldn't read now waits in More → Unparsed messages, where you can build the transaction by tapping the words in the message, or tap "Parse now" to retry it after adding a rule.
Fixed a single bank SMS occasionally landing as two transactions.
Charges now reach the right account. Card numbers saved with spaces, symbols, or Arabic digits are matched properly instead of falling back to your default account.
Long-press an auto-import notification to re-file it into one of your most-used categories, without opening the app.
Cleaner import notifications, focused on the transaction itself.
Parsing rules update reliably over the air, so support for new bank formats reaches you without an app update.
Redesigned Gold screen, a refreshed tab bar, and clearer transaction rows that show each category's icon.
Budgets opened from Home now has a back button.
