Some prayers would never send me an adhan. Others, the notification will disappear by itself after an undetermined amount of time (what seems to be an hour or two). I’m young and very tech savvy. I’ve manually went into the app’s notifications settings and turned off and back on each prayer’s notification settings to no avail. I emailed the app’s support I believe two weeks ago and got no reply. Living in the west, it’s a big issue. I just downloaded another adhan app because I can’t compromise this issue again. The idea of this app is wonderful, but the execution could use some enhancement. There are absolutely no ads, the UI has a very simple yet informative layout, I love how you can see the timings of salah at any nearby masjids as well! One of my favorite features is the emotions, where you can swipe up or down and based off of your emotion you get a dua! The qibla finder is also very accurate and has a very simple— easy to read design. May Allah bless the people and company behind this app! Check for example for Glenunga South Australia or Armidale NSW. ### 1/5 — Great up, with a permanent bug *2025-12-04* Masjidal filled a vacuum that no other app could fill, that is, to keep my connection to our Masjid alive and constant. However, the iPhone version has a permanent glitch, that is, developers keep on sending an ad "Earn..." whatever and "Share with family and friends" sort of, which freezes on the app constantly. It is a hassle to have to reset the app any time we want to check prayer times in our Masjid. It is only my phone, I am the lucky one, I have an iPhone 16e. They don't have an iPad version, however, I use it horizontally just to avoid the constant resetting of the app in my iPhone. Please, get that glitch out! JAKum allahu khayran! This app is amazing. One extra other feature I had in mind was: some people hold congregational prayers at their workplaces, or at a public area. They do it pretty regularly. For example, my workplace is kinda far from a mosque. It took me several weeks before realizing that there is a hospital close to my workplace where Muslim employees organize Friday prayer every week. If there was a way for people to find a jama’ah organized by people. That would be pretty amazing. One issue would be the verification process for such congregations. For my project, I’m only planning on creating this app for my specific city. And I know of some people who would be willing to go verify such congregations in person, before we allow them to use our platform. I don’t suppose that will work for Masjidal Athan+. But if you can somehow create an Ambassador program!? Then the ambassador will go verify these places.
