## What is Master Fantasy RPG Soundboard?

Master Fantasy RPG Soundboard is a fantastic app filled with hundreds of high quality sound effects that will help you on your quest. You can use this app as a companion while playing board games, roleplaying, reenacting, or just randomly throughout life. Using this app as a companion to your adventures easily enhances the atmosphere. No internet connection is needed to use this app so it doesn't matter if you have high speed internet or if you're in the woods without a signal. This app will work regardless of your connection or lack thereof. 

After the initial startup load all of the sounds are at your fingertips for instant playability without the need to load any sounds before playing. No lagging and no ads. This app can easily enhance the atmosphere during board game time at day or night. While on the main menu you can pick the category you want and quickly pull up those sounds and go back to the other categories just as quick as well. The 8 sound categories in this app are Animals, Atmosphere, Combat, Instruments, Magic, Monsters, Objects, and People. Atmosphere audio can play in the background while you play other sound effects.

This soundboard app also has a favorites feature. Simply hold down the sound effect button you like for 5 seconds to mark it as a favorite with a shield. You can remove that sound as a favorite by holding down on it again for 5 seconds. There are no limits with how many sound effects you can mark as a favorite.

Literally no sounds. Useless and waste of money.

However, if it's switched on the app should play sounds like normal. I've found this to be the issue with other people that have reported your problem. Please let me know if that works.

Overall a decent app for the price, was disappointed that each sound has to play all the way through though as there doesn’t seem to be a way to stop each sound, apart from closing the ap. Minimizing seems to only pause the sound and it picks up where it left off from when you closed it. Kind of annoying that you can only stop sounds in atmosphere mode. Please consider adding the stop button to all screens.

**Developer response:** Hey Astral Cricket, thank you for downloading the app! When I initially created it I thought people wouldn't want or need to stop the non atmosphere sound effects since most of them are under 3 seconds. Due to their length I decided to make them a certain file type and incorporate them into the app in a way that wouldn't allow them to stop.Doing this made the file sizes smaller and the overall app size smaller. I figured people would rather have a quick soundboard that's not bulky in megabyte size and doesn't have to connect to data over being able to stop short sound effects. This decision wasn't to your liking so I do apologise for that! Hopefully you can still appreciate and enjoy the app sometimes. Have a great day!

### 4/5 — No sound, check your to see if your phone is on silent

I saw some of the reviews saying people weren’t getting sound but I want to try the app anyway. I also had issues with no sound from the app.  I emailed the developer to let them know my issue. 
I really wanted the app to help me out when I DM a game so I looked for another app. When I started that up the 2nd app there was a message saying “hey if your phones on silent you won’t get sound”. And I always keep my phone on silent. So I turned to silent switch off tested this app and it worked with out any issues. 
So for all those that poster of you saying this app doesn’t work I would try to see if you are silent switch is off. For all those people who purchase this app make sure your silent switch is off.

For one dollar it’s aight, I can imagine myself having some fun using this while DM’ing but I also get the feeling you can find plenty of soundboards for free, a little wonky favoriting system, but decent one dollar app, ya get what you pay for more or less.

Maybe down the road it’ll become something, and hopefully it’ll bring some joy to my players regardless

Edit: with time I’ve come to enjoy it a bit more, I love the lack of ads for sure

I'm glad you kind of enjoyed the app. Sometimes free soundboards are fine but I've often found that you usually get poor quality and/or ads, sometimes abundance. I didn't want to slow down this app with adds or take away from the experience so I thought charging .99 cents would be fine, especially since months worth of work went into creating it. I've got bills and taxes to pay just like you probably do, and I don't mean that in a rude way. The favoriting system is something that I initially planned to be different and I may still update it later to have a section that stores your favorites together in separate area. Nevertheless, thank you for downloading the app and I do hope this app brings joy to your players! Take care!

First of all, thank you for thinking about the (fantasy) community and developing the app. I’m setting up to be a DM for our small group and having effects I imagine would add great value to the experience.

The app is at a great place as far as your concept and initial release and to be quite frank I probably would give it a five star but I am leaving the other star for the possibilities and updates. Specifically BGM, I like the idea of the “Atmosphere” sound effect but it would be nice as well to have like a BGM feature when in combat... it’ll give the experience a sort of cinematic or gaming experience which should add greater value to the game.

Also, instead of just having the “favorite” marker, it would be great if you can create a customizable sound board which allows you to pick from the list of available sounds and then assign them in maybe a 4 x 5 sound board that way you are not flipping to the menu for what you need.  And to add to it, create an option to save various boards to quick loads.

Looking forward to updates and hopefully more added sounds. Cheers and thanks.

I was thinking about creating a favoriting system like you mentioned prior to release but ended up not doing it for the sake of time. However, that type of favorite system is something I'll look into for a possible future update. Having a separate area that stores your favorites together would increase effeciency. Adding some BGM would be neat as well. I'm a big fan of the fantasy genre and music does often add a lot to a gaming and cinematic experiences. Just paid a buck for this app and my volume is max but there’s literally no sounds when I try any of the SFX menu options. I’m using an iPhone 8S. Would happily remove the review if you can fix this.
