## What is Master It?

Create and print master key systems in an instant with Master It.

Master It is perfect for small or on-the-fly systems. Create a master key matrix immediately with zero math and zero worries of cross-keying. Either enter in your own TMK or tap Randomize to create a complete master key system containing a single TMK, a single sub master, and up to 64 change keys. Each output delivers a fixed sub master and set of change keys.

Master It is built to create a system immediately to print and keep in your records at your shop. It is capable of saving and reloading one project at a time. The goal with Master It is to create and AirPrint a system in an instant. If on the road when printing isn't available, email and save features are secondary backups prior to printing. Email is also ideal when a printer is not AirPrint compatible.

Obeys MACS rules for each selected system.

Create 5 or 6 pin systems.

Randomize feature to always generate a completely random TMK every time. Use the two filters to restrict the TMK to only shallow depths, or to always include the shallowest and deepest cuts.

Tap anywhere on the matrix to select or deselect a bitting for the key chart.

Shake your iDevice to lock the primary functions on the main screen. This is to prevent unwanted changes (i.e. accidentally tapping Reset). To unlock, just shake again.

All change keys can be individually identified.

Use the Project Name / Keyway box for temporary saving information. The actual printout will allow you to write in the business name, personal name, address, keyway, and phone number conveniently. After printing, the system can be continued manually on paper.

Additionally, you can tap on each change key to display the pinning.

Compatibility: All iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch types and generations with a minimum iOS version of 12.0

### 4/5 — Not a bad app.

So far this app seems like a good app. As far as starting a master system from scratch, very helpful.  But, my only complaint is that I wish it allowed you to manually enter key cuts for already exsisting keys. For example: a locksmith is called out to a newly constructed apartment building. The contractors have already installed all the door locks (each having its own key). The manager wants the locksmith to make a master key to all of the already installed locks. Yes it still would require the locksmith to add the master pins to each lock, but the locks already have their own cut keys. Point I’m getting at is, the app right now will not allow you to go in and manually enter each existing key cuts and then be able to give you a quick reference on master pins that need added to each lock. The app only generates key cuts to be made on each new key as well as what master pins to put in. It would be nice if this was updated.

I found this app to be great for small and quick jobs but I’m not sure what the point of the Save/Load feature is. I can’t seem to find anyway to load previous projects. It only seems to load the last one worked on. It would be perfect if I could save and re-load multiple jobs.

Can’t figure out how to enter a sub master under tmk. Can’t find email for support.

### 5/5 — Not what I expected and could not get a refund

This App was not what I expected from the description. I assumed that you could choose your own Sub numbers and nowhere does it say you cannot. I also thought that I could pick my own bank of 64 keys, not forced to take his that seem to always start with a 3 cut. You should be able to input any of the numbers yourself. This is nothing I can’t easily figure out by myself at a IMHO, highly inflated price. $5 for this. I would have given it 5 stars if it were $1.99. I was not allowed a refund for purchasing what I thought was something more which really ticked me off. Love your other Apps and I will give them 5 stars. This one is simply not worth $5!

Update: You are right. Based on what the App does it is a 5 star App. That being said stars must be deducted for not being more transparent on what the App does and does not do. It to me looks like you can input your own numbers for sub and possibly pick which cuts you want. As a developer, that is why on a $5 App I will always give a 2 day or so trial. You simply can’t say “Well it’s only $5 so screw you.” It’s the difference of perceived functioning of the App and actual functionality. Maybe this has compelled me to make my own App with all functionality built in. Who knows 🤷‍♂️. I will however up my stars to 3 stars for the quality of the App if I wanted it that way. 🙂

Further Update:
                          Because of the openness and honesty of the developer and realizing the usefulness of the App and the time taken to make it quick and good looking and functional, I am upping my rating to 5 stars and endorsing it. The developer is very good, his other Apps are great for me and well worth the money. I will be buying all of your Apps. Keep up the good work, it is now agreed they are worth what you charge. Keep up the good work and maybe work in some of the other things. 😉

**Developer response:** I'm sorry to hear this didn't meet your expectations. I'm also surprised to hear that the price for a copied key separates a 1 star from a 5 star rating. Like any tool, Master It saves time by instantly generating a 64 change key system. Open the app, tap Randomize, select your change keys, and AirPrint or Email to yourself. I'm a locksmith myself and have created many systems by hand, and like anything else, it still takes time. In fact the bulk of my apps are tools built to save time. Master It was created for small systems and the cost is paid for the first time it's used, but certainly does not replace your expensive enterprise desktop software. I'm happy to hear you enjoy my other apps, and despite the 3 dollar difference you do not agree with I hope you eventually find this app just as useful.

Update: I appreciate the change in rating. I'm not trying to screw you or anyone over. I've put a lot of work into Master It as well as my other apps, and I feel their prices are justified for what they accomplish and to keep my store alive. Keep in mind I have zero control over refunds. I don't even see refund requests. What I do have control over is making changes and thus will heed your words and remove any ambiguity I missed in the description. Should you need anything please feel free to reach me via email. I bought it however sense I’m not a expert type it would be nice if you do a 2 min video instructional on YouTube! Same for all your other apps I will be definitely buying more. But again help me teaching me how to use it correctly.

This looks like a pretty decent app with a bit more of work could be great. 

Let me just start by saying great work so far. Things I would really love to see added in. 
Key IDs - So like you would have the TMK Then a group master of A, a Base master of AA and then a Page master of AAA

Then you could also add how many changes for the keys. So my base master key would be AA and that would be given to a manager over like a sales department, accounting department, and a business department, then the page master keys would be used for each individual office to give to the people you only wanted in each part. 

Also would be nice to know how many changes you had per page master keys. So like page master 1 could have like 31 changes and also would be AAA group. 

Would be nice if you could somehow click on these and get the bottom pins and master pins as well.

To answer your last concern first, you can indeed see the pinning of each change key by tapping on the bitting of each respective change key (the second page in the instructions provides more detail). As far as the rest, this app was not built for multi stage key systems, but rather small systems that can be generated in a matter of seconds by simply using the randomize function.

May be this is a good program. But, I just could not figured out how to use it properly. Wish there was more written information on it.  It would be great if you could provide more background information on the use of the Matrix in your web site.  I loaded Master It on an iPad and it’s running fine.

Also, knowing what may not make be clear to you could be implemented into new updates to possibly help others like yourself in the future.
