### 2/5 — No longer works

After doing the update to the app I can no longer use it, it requires me to sign in to use the app, it keeps saying that my username or password is invalid although I can sign into the Masterbuilt website with the same account. This app used to be useful but now I can’t use it, I guess I never should have updated it.

Before I could get the app to make a connection but it was always in safe mode no matter what. Annoying but I could work around that. With the latest update I can’t even get the app to connect. Today is going to be my last attempt with this unit. I’ll be buying something else from another manufacturer while the Father’s Day sales are still going.

Just received my vertical smoker 710. When the app found the device it shows it to be a gravity feed smoker which it is not. 🤷‍♀️ The app still turned off the smoker but you would think it would label the device correctly. I’ll see how the app works tomorrow when I smoke a chicken.

Receive an email from developer. Said I should be using the is app which finds the wrong device. Before I heard from them I tried the other app that says is for gravity feed smokers but the app lets me pick the 710 model I have.

Still places the smoker in safe mode after connecting, informing me that my door is open, when it is indeed closed and never had been opened! App is useless. Just set it manually and avoid frustration

Well, the smoker seems to operate wonderfully, I actually bought one and none of the controls worked and had to return it to the same day after building it and putting it together and top it out for another unit which has worked wonderfully the biggest complaint I have is the app on your phone. It is absolutely horrible. It fills flunky and like a first grader made it. It does not connect with the device easily, it does not relay real time data. If you can actually get it to connect controls in the app do not work to set temperature, timers, alarms, power off the device… They need to hire a different developer.

Not working very easily. Trying to get support and no luck there either! Bluetooth is not easy to hook up. Have to keep shutting down unplugging, and try again. What the heck?
