First tap often leaves you to guess and then fail by pure coincidence. Also there is no haptic after putting a flag. Buggy as all get out. Time crisis clock starts at random time intervals ranging from 6 seconds to 45 seconds. But the control is a joke, and default control should be tap to reveal and hold to flag, this is the default control for every single minesweeper game, why would you change that? Taping on number to automatically reveal is also basic control that is missing. The music is great, but not for a minesweeper game. No minesweeper ever has music. It’s not some kind of racing game or IO game, it’s just annoying. I’ll wait until the game gets better ### 3/5 — Minefield of pay-to-win features *2021-05-01, version 1.12* The game is great fun to play. Which makes the fact that 85% of it is locked behind a paywall even more angering. I understand that the developers need people to pay. But, just personal experience here, I tend to pay for games that don’t feel hostile to me. This game constantly reminds you that you’ve only been allowed to play it out of the developer’s immense generosity, and if you want anything more than a demo, you’ll have to fork it over. 5 stars for game quality, -2 stars for aggressive paywall. ### 4/5 — Good game, needs design change *2021-03-01, version 1.11.2* This game is great! There’s one problem with the design: I always lose right near the end because I accidentally press and hold (reveal a cube) when I meant to tap (flag a mine). If I press and I’m uncertain of my decision, I will hesitate. A better design would be to either make the flag feature a tap and hold (to prevent accidental reveals from hesitation), and the reveal a single tap, or better yet make a dedicated button for flagging on the HUD. This would ensure I do not make any annoying mistakes. The game plays and functions great, there’s unlimited sizes and competitive leaderboards, but the thing that’s best about this app is the very active discord group where you can nerd out about minesweeper with many other players. If you like minesweeper at least give this game a try, it’s well worth it. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2021-02-20, version 1.11.1* Brilliant game and a really cool twist on an old classic. The music is superb. Wish there was a way of being able to choose what track to listen to tho. It would take more than 2 seconds to hold down a few squares to reveal part of the cube. Unless I’m missing something then having a league table that you will never be able to compete with causes you to lose interest pretty quickly. On the plus side it is not expensive if you want to go pro. Don’t know if pro is the reason why people can get such low times? The idea of a 3-D minesweeper really intrigue me and I was not disappointed. The only problem I have is there is way to much pay only content. You have to pay to do anything above 8x8 and you have to pay to access challenges. It’s kind of stupid that you have to pay to really enjoy the game more. Although if you like minesweepers and your looking for a fun game I would totally recommend this one. You just have to pay to do more stuff (it gets boring after a while of doing the same stuff. The only other thing I didn’t like was the way you place flags. You tap to place flags and hold to uncover something. In the original minesweeper it was opposite and that was so much better. They should include an option to change that. ### 5/5 — Idea for people who don’t really wanna pay $2 for harder levels *2020-11-28, version 1.8* Instead of making people pay to get more levels which I don't even think 5% who play do you could instead put an add goal for them to reach that will have you earn what 95% (people I think would not pay) make you the same amount of money that the people paying would with the add money is. I know that the money that mobile game apps is very very low but if you have more people doing it then it will be profitable for both parties. If read by devs then love the game and was thinking you could even add a completely different style to it where you use pentagons-hexagon spheres or triangle 3d diamonds. Just keep one thing in my mind that the flags that you mark, may or may not be mines, they are only your guess. Too many games lost because there is insufficient difference between rotating the cube, tagging a mine and revealing a square. Quite literally had it detonate a mine on a flagged square as I’m scrolling the cube.
