There is no double window mat feature There is no allowance feature which is a standard 1/8” across the board when calculating and ordering frames. ### 4/5 — Updated *2017-11-17* App has now been updated to work under iOS 11. If you cut your own mats or do framing, this is a handy app to have. Not only has it saved me from making stupid math errors, but it allows saving mat cutting data for future reference. ### 4/5 — Matt Calculator *2016-07-31* Brilliant app for working out calculations when framing pictures. Helps with working out frame sizes, starting with picture size, working out mount width, and giving you the frame sizes. It allows you to put in overall size of a sheet of mount board and work out how to optimise the amount of smaller same sized boards you can cut. Also allows you to put an image into a mount board and play with matching colour of mount to image colours. Love to play with this app. The more I play the more I find it helpful. I have had issues with freezing but it is getting far better as time goes by. ### 4/5 — A very fine app that is easy to use. *2014-12-21* This is a clean and easy way to get the layout with out a pencil and paper. It's nearly there for me though because the Mat Optimization tool instantly shuts the app off and closes it. It doesn't freeze, it just quits. I have an iPhone 5s. Support for a double matt is a simple extension of the current calculations and not an uncommon use scenario, but not provided. Thank you for your support. ### 1/5 — Save $2… *2021-12-12* And don’t get this very simple yet clumsy app. Easier to use paper and pencil. It can’t do anything that you can’t do…and faster. Would be great if there were more frames plus accommodation for double and triple matting. OK, if you are hopeless with math, this will help. Otherwise…fergitaboutit. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. This app is intended to be simple for those who are not able to do the math by hand. I'm sorry that you felt it was clumsy, the guided interface is intended to help users through the calculation. The app previously had a single screen for all inputs and that caused users to get confused as well. It does not support more than one cut-out in its calculations, which seems to be a pretty standard use-case for a “Mat Calculator”. NOW, since this app has been updated I find it even more useful. I love the additional features such as the Mat Board Optimizer and Proportional Scale. Awesome! When matting a photo or project, you need to know what you want to achieve and then this app will help you conceive and plan your matting and framing requirements. It would help if you are already familiar with how to perform mat cutting but not necessary if you can perform some basic critical thinking and aren't an of entitled spoon feed me or read my mind kinda person. I love the app now and it is even better with the ability to load a picture from my photo album or even take a pic on the fly to visualize the mat. Heck you can even change the mat color too.
