## What is Matane?

Can't remember the name of someone you're meeting again, or what you talked about last time?
Matane quietly takes care of that awkward moment for you.

Spend just 30 seconds after you meet to save a note, then take a quick look before you meet again.
Turn "see you again" into a real reunion.

◆ Matane is a great fit if you:
• Have trouble remembering names and faces
• Work in sales or a customer-facing role and want to remember what you discussed with clients
• Meet lots of new people at meetups or communities
• Want to make the most of catching up with old friends and family

◆ 8 things Matane does for you

① A 3-minute refresher before you meet
Open someone's page and instantly see when and where you last met, what you talked about,
and what you wanted to bring up next.

② Recording takes 30 seconds
The only required field is a name. Jot down the date, place, and what you talked about.
Check off "things to talk about next" once you've actually talked about them.

③ Find people even with a vague memory
"I forget their name, but we talked about Okinawa" — search across names, readings,
nicknames, affiliations, tags, and the content of your notes, all at once.

④ See who you're meeting today, first thing in the morning
Add "Lunch with Alex" to your calendar, and Alex appears at the top of your Home screen
that day. Just open their page to review your last conversation before you meet.
Your calendar is only ever read — nothing is saved in Matane or sent anywhere.

⑤ Birthday and "time to reach out" reminders
Get a nudge 3 days before someone's birthday, and again on the day. Set a cadence like
"weekly" or "monthly" for anyone, and Matane will tell you when it's time to check in.

⑥ Keep the memory with a photo
Attach a photo from the day you met. Your album organizes them by month automatically,
and Matane will remind you what happened "on this day" a year ago.

⑦ A recap arrives every month
Look back at who you saw, the photos you saved, and the places you went, month by month.
There's also a full "This Year in Matane" recap.

⑧ Everything stays on your device
No account required. Your people and photos are never sent anywhere. Protect the app with
a 4-digit passcode (Face ID unlock supported). You can export a backup anytime.

◆ Our privacy promise

Everything you add to Matane is stored only on your device.
• No account is required
• Your data and photos are never sent to any server
• No one — not even the developer — can see your records
• A 4-digit passcode lock is supported (with Face ID unlock)
• You can export your data anytime (JSON text, or a ZIP that includes your photos)

Because this app handles information about other people, we designed it from the ground up
to simply not collect anything.

◆ We'd love to hear from you

Matane is built by a solo, independent developer.
If you notice something or wish for a feature, please tell us in a review.
We read every one, and we're improving Matane one step at a time.
