Now I don't hate the game, but I just wish there was more you could do with power ups. You literally cannot do anything with powerups unless there are matching colored pieces or other powerups nearby. Another thing is that you cannot just play the matching part even if you wanted to. You have to sit through all of the story and can only make stars off of needed to do a task. I also wish there were more design options, more choices or more in detail, you have very limited or set options. It’s extremely disappointing to put in tons of effort to upgrade a haunted mansion only for the mansion to disappear the second you finish the last Halloween level. I didn’t even have time to see what the last upgrade looked like. The special building should remain on the map for the duration of the event period (like in Mahjong Emperor, for example). Before this I would’ve rated this game highly but this is genuinely disappointing. Edit a few months later: I find I’m hardly playing this game anymore because you no longer have the collection events (umbrellas, coffee cups, paint cans, strawberries etc). I used to use those to build up items to participate in the main monthly events, and now that you never have the collection events anymore I’m just not as motivated to play. It’s a shame to take away a fun part of your gameplay like that. ### 1/5 — Not what it used to be, and good thing it’s free. *2022-08-03* If I would have reviewed this app when I first started playing, I would have given it 5 stars, but not any longer. Ever since the May 2022 upgrade, the platform has become unstable. Each time I play I get kicked out of the game and to make matters worse, each time I try to play I have to uninstall and reinstall to play. I have completed more than 3000 levels and one day I won’t be reinstalling the game. I have tried to let tech support know about this problem but all they do is send me emails asking what is wrong, when it happened, etc. I don’t think they bother to read the responses because all they do is ask the same questions and never try to fix the problem. Good thing this game is free because it isn’t worth a cent. ### 1/5 — Game crashes update *2022-05-27* Update: G5 told me to contact support.I have provided them with every bit of information they asked for and they don’t even bother to respond. The game still crashes at the final load point and G5doesn’t seem to care. The game started crashing and the developer is doing nothing to fix it. Please don’t tell me to contact support again they do nothing and then they quit responding when they can’t fix the problem. By the way this problem is across multiple devices so it is not my device. The events they hold in order for you to be able to keep any of the COOL buildings/items, etc in your town are CRAZY IMPOSSIBLE! Unless of course you wish to have no life at all. You have to do about 100 levels, some very hard, to be able to complete ANY challenge. BUT, the crazy part is? In order to do THOSE levels, you have to complete regular non event levels to earn the special items you need to even play those levels, AND THOSE LEVELS ARE HARD! If you dont mind just a match three game where you don’t care about making any progress except the regular mundane stuff they give you, this is for you. But to invest so much time just to hear dialogue every time that says, “oh, it’s too bad we didn’t finish the event, it would’ve been so cool to have a circus, or concession stand, or whatever it was you were going for that would really bring your mundane town to life, IM OUT! It’s too bad too! The game is pretty cool except like most out there, they make things impossible. I guess you’d have to use every power up, (oh and I used PLENTY), then BUY more to MAYBE get thru them…which means…time to spend real money on in game purchases that are over priced, and KEEP DOING IT, to FINALLY FINISH an event! Developers, I hung in there, but I’m out, so is the one on my kids iPad.
