## What is Matcha Tea?

Matcha is a calm, tea companion for anyone who keeps a daily matcha and tea-brewing practice, from the first tin you ever open to the hundredth bowl. Brew slow. Notice more.

Open the app, no subscription. Keep three tins, ten journal sessions, all four brew timers, the freshness clock, the streak strip, full CSV / JSON export, and the everyday usucha recipe.

— BREW —
Four prep styles — Usucha, Koicha, Iced, and Latte — with phase-by-phase timing guides: sift, pour, whisk, rest. All four are free. Dial in and save your own temperature-and-ratio profiles with custom timing (Matcha Pro).

— BEYOND MATCHA —
Not matcha alone anymore. Catalogue and brew steeped teas — green, black, oolong, white, herbal, pu-erh — with an adjustable temperature, time, and re-steep flow, or save any leaf with a custom name.

— CELLAR —
Log every tin: brand, origin, harvest year, grade, what you paid. A freshness clock (with a window you choose) nudges you before peak fades. A signal bar tells you whether the price-per-gram is high, fair, or a steal (matcha only) — in EUR, USD, GBP, or JPY.

— JOURNAL —
After every brew, slide six taste axes (umami, sweet, body, finish, astringent, vegetal) and rate every bowl — free. Matcha Pro reads the patterns back: your taste radar, which origin you score highest, when your focus peaks, how today's bowl compares.

Optional check-ins at one hour and three hours after a session log focus, mood, and energy. A full month calendar shows your practice at a glance, and the streak strip keeps the thread going. Matcha is rated 16+. A quick confirmation at launch keeps under-16s out; where your device provides age signals, 16–17-year-olds need a parent or guardian's consent.
