## What is MatchCut Football?

MatchCut turns a long action-cam football recording into share-ready highlights, and it does the whole job on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded, no account is needed, and nothing ever leaves your phone.

Drop in your full match (GoPro, DJI, or any action cam, even a chaptered recording split across several files). MatchCut analyzes the audio and motion on-device to find the exciting moments: goals, shots, big plays, and crowd reactions. Review the ranked highlights, trim or reorder them, then export a reel.

Export share-ready reels in three formats:
- 16:9 for YouTube
- 9:16 for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts

### 1.2 — 2026-08-11

- 9:16 reels now have two framings. Keep the whole pitch on a blurred
  backdrop, as before, or crop in so the players fill the screen.
- When you crop in, MatchCut aims each moment at the ball for you, and
  the slider is there if you want to adjust it.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-09

- 9:16 reels now keep the whole frame. Nothing is cut off, and the bars
  are filled with a blurred backdrop instead of black.
- The crop now aims itself at the ball instead of the middle of the pitch.
- The MatchCut logo in the top corner of a finished reel. On by default,
  one switch in the export screen turns it off.
- A "Likely goals" filter on the moment list, so the goals are one tap
  away instead of a scroll away.
- The preview now plays the reel the export will actually produce,
  framing and all.
