I genuinely think there is a great little app with a few developer changes… 1) sort the loading and comparability issues out, there is a general issue with loading the app and I have found on IOS changes this takes too long and gets frustrating quickly. 2) there has to be an easier way to pre load locations and details about home grounds to make comms easier for grassroots coaches. 3) needs a calendar function so training can be put on there well in advance and cut down on repetition and having to click your way through all the time. 4) change colours/fonts for different things to make things stand out better. 5) make multiple accounts (e.g. a parent who is a coach) flow better as currently way too clunky. 6) make the match function better - if you really think a coach has time to go on the app to live time goals, subs, incidents then the devs need a reality check. 7) inputting stats and ratings after the match - really frustrating experience and this for me personally is where it crashes the most. 8) coach to coach comms capability - would help arranging games if the home ground preload was better (incl location/pitch type/toilets/changing rooms etc) and things like kit colours were included too to save admin in the week. Hope that helps ### 2/5 — Ok but not useful *2026-09-10, version 18.0.0* This really needs the function to sync with device calendars, if you have one child on one team it’s fine. But anything beyond that and it’s not user friendly because you have to switch accounts and can only see one event type at a time. Once there is the sync events (both matches and training) to a calendar and can see more than one child at a time it’ll be 4 probably even 5 star app but until then… and apparently this has been requested for a number of years now too, you can see the feature requests on the website! ### 2/5 — Really disappointing *2026-09-07, version 18.0.0* This should be easy to use but it isn’t. I just want to change my address and add my photo but I have to contact my club to do so, which is a massive faff. ### 3/5 — App ok for parents and coaches but not too helpful for club secretaries. *2026-09-05, version 18.0.0* Is a great idea and fantastic that it links to fulltime. A few things that would help improve the app 1: only add players to the squad that are actually registered and allowed to play and 2: a way for secretaries/chairs even parents with more than one child at each club to be able to see all club fixtures on one page rather than having to keep switching accounts. My issues are with the statistics after the match. When I reply to the generic text message from the FA at full time this score is updated on the Matchday app, then when you add your player statistics and add goal scorers these goals get added to the full time result 😔 ### 2/5 — Basic *2025-11-05, version 15.1.0* Great for looking at fixture information but that’s it. But if you switch profiles the results table gets stuck on the previous profile. Have to fully close app to switch to other league table. App store support link goes to 404 page not found. We add training items and each item overlaps the other so parents can’t confirm availability or see the time which means lots of watsapp messages. We used it for a few years as a coach of my son’s team. We moved to using spond and it’s way better but now my daughters team use this app and my goodness it is awful. I’ve been a grassroots coach for 4 seasons and it’s literally never worked properly. Still can’t complete match stats after the game. Surely it can’t be hard to fix this- terrible app and wastes so much time trying to administer games. ### 1/5 — Password resets dont work *2026-08-24, version 17.2.0* Best you remember your password guys…if you forget it and have to get a verification code…the codes dont work one bit. It’s such a hateful experience using this app as a grassroots manager when it doesn’t need to be. A simple web interface for admin tasks would help massively. Gets one star for the match stats part being able to record goals / assists in real time. Albeit that isn’t the greatest experience ever. That way it’d integrate with all the navigation apps which already have access to the calendar. B) have a site map of the fixture venue, we attend lots of venues with 6 or more pitches. Having this would help a lot. C) access to the league table WITHOUT having to browse to Fulltime website. D) see the live results and f other games in my league. We have downloaded the App and set up the PayPal payment for one of our players and they received an email to advice them the payment was due and the player said it was easy to pay through his PayPal account. The Matchday App itself is very useful and today when one of my Fixtures was swapped I got a notification from the Matchday App. We have already recommended the App to another manager to assist them and when they downloaded it they were also impressed. ### 5/5 — Great App, had an issue, Superb response *2019-01-24* Love the idea of the app but it’s just not working very well. I use the app as it updates the full time website, I want to be able to use it to track our season stats. The app will only let me add game events for the last fixture played, I want to add the goal scorers and substitutions for our previous games now I have the app but I can’t? The app has let me enter the starting eleven for the previous fixtures but why not goal scores and substitutions?? It’s a great app but not being able to add goal scorers and substitutions means I may as well not bother, I want to use the app to keep stats on our games, I may as well go back to using my excel spreadsheet!! A fully functional app will get a 5 star rating! But I can’t give that until this problem is fixed! *** just a quick update, I have updated my review to 5 stars as the support surrounding the issue has been superb, James from the app team couldn’t of been more helpful, the app is now working great and a massive time saver on match days!! **** **Developer response:** Hi There, thank you for your feedback. From a coaches perspective this app is excellent. Admittedly there was some frustration initially when some parents couldn’t log-in properly due to them having more then one FAN number, but the friendly support team were on hand to quickly help resolve any issues. Now that the parents and coaches are all using the app, I now know in advance of who is and isn’t available to play in the game, which is a big benefit to me when I’m plan and preparing for matchday. This app has cut down on my admin, no more sitting in front of my pc sending emails to parents and filling out match reports, it’s all done via my phone, and in a matter of minutes.
