Haven’t been able to play at all today because I am sticking with on a screen with a finger showing me where to touch for something that isn’t there. I have no way or getting off that screen. Wir würden dich gern wirklich spielen sehen. ### 2/5 — how *2026-06-17* the ‘easy’ opponent that is five overall ratings lower and doesn’t have a player above 80 ovr somehow manages to score 9/10 on their first possession. to then deny your first possession all so you can lose 3-0 or 3-1 what feels like every game. also feels impossible to earn enough gems for packs after playing 15 games and earning one gem when 100 are needed for a single bronze pack. **Developer response:** Losing to a lower-rated side that somehow buries every chance, then getting your own denied, that doesn't feel fair and we get why it's frustrating. The team's looking hard at match balance so results track the squads more closely. The gem grind for packs is fair feedback too, and earn rates are on the list we're reviewing. Thanks for sticking with it through 15 rough games. ### 3/5 — Games not working properly *2026-06-14* It’s a great game but there’s just a slight issue everytime I finish a match it come’s up with a hand pointing but it’s not pointing to anything to click on which means it’s stuck like that and have to keep restarting the game other than that the games great just think it needs sorting as it’s starting to get annoying abit now hopefully it gets sorted soon **Developer response:** That stuck hand pointer after a match (frozen, nothing to tap) is a real bug, not you. Vraiment content que le reste te plaise autant, et merci pour les cinq étoiles. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Does not even load *2026-07-29* Loads to 1/4 way and doesn’t load anymore! **Developer response:** A load that sticks at a quarter and never moves again is a rubbish first impression, and sorry you got it. It's a known bug and the team's already on it. If you can email hello@matchday.com with your device and iOS version, that helps us narrow down which setups are hitting it. ### 1/5 — Awesome game! No support at all. Don’t spend! *2026-07-23* In my last review, I stated that I spend on games I enjoy. As of yesterday morning, all your promos for the World Cup had at least a day and a half left on them. As of last night, all of that was gone and no way to see or use our purchased and/or accumulated trophies to get the World Cup packs that we were supposed to be able to get. Can’t see how many trophies we have although I remember it was over 7600, 7200 of them being bought recently. We cannot see or use those trophies to get the packs we were supposed to be able to because the World Cup shop and options to spent the trophies for player cards is closed in game. We were supposed to have most of today to do that according to the endgame timers I saw before they were all taken down and the shop closed. In fact, the album portion of the menu is still up I am running for when we complete the national portions of it but the trophies that get awarded are not usable or accessible. The other problem is you do not respond or communicate with your players in any way as I have sent a few (2) emails on this already to no response. Even if you have just abandoned this game, you still need to reply to legitimate questions from all your customers, including those who spend on the game and have questions about why their purchases are no longer usable in game otherwise Apple becomes our only recourse. ### 1/5 — Pointless *2026-07-21* An 87 rated squad losing to a 78 rated one is stupid, the micro transactions are even more stupidly priced than EA. Shame because the game has a nice core behind it, crashes like no man’s business. Could’ve been so much better if you weren’t trying to get peoples money. Giving 50 coins a day then a pack costing 900 or even 3600.. ridiculous reward people who play it **Developer response:** Fair points, and the crashes especially aren't good enough. A stronger squad losing to a weaker one shouldn't feel random, so that feedback's going to the team, along with your note on pack pricing and daily Coins. None of it's where we want it. It’s especially frustrating when some of us are not playing for free, but have spent in the game. ### 1/5 — Crashin *2026-07-16* It’s asking me to tap on squad an it’s not letting me click it needs fixing ASAP **Developer response:** The prompt to tap Squad locking up on you is a bug we're chasing down, and I get why that's a one-star. Money came out my bank but no coins added in game. Emailed the support email address with no response **Developer response:** Coins that never landed even though the money left your bank is exactly what support digs into, and sorry you've been left chasing it. If your first email went unanswered, send another to hello@matchday.com with your receipt and the account name you play under, and someone can track down where those coins ended up. ### 1/5 — Won't load *2026-07-03* I've just downloaded the game and it won't loads past the loading screen so I can't even play the game :/ **Developer response:** Stuck on the loading screen right after downloading is a rotten first five minutes, and not how it should go. Send your device model and OS version to hello@matchday.com so we can work out what's hanging the load. A restart on a strong wifi connection clears it for some players in the meantime. Sorry it's kept you from even getting in. ### 1/5 — Fun but a few major issues… *2026-06-30* Game is fun, but there are a couple of things that would make it better. Let us change our emblem, I don’t want to be a stupid hammer. Also, for the daily rewards- I’ve opened 4 packs so far and I hasn’t registered that I’ve opened any; do I really have to pay for a pack to count?! Also, I’m at an 84 power and losing to teams at 76 by 3 goals… everyone of my players is better and I’m getting blown out? The goals leaderboard for gold rush is also a bit flawed… if you have x5 on the matches you get 5 times the rewards for 5 times as much stamina, but not 5 times the goals. So now we’re back to playing single rewards and stamina matches. Lastly, the events don’t work. I have zero progress on the stars even though I have thousands by now, and when I won first in the last event no awards were given. There is zero payout. Enjoy the run. cheers. ### 5/5 — yes i spent money on this. no i dont regret it *2026-06-12* 50+ hours in and i'm writing a review at 1am, so that tells you something started free like everyone does. lasted about a week before i bought my first gem pack. then i did the math on it: i've dropped more on worse. a night out costs more than what i've spent here in a month, and the night out doesn't give me my haaland. the matches are my thing. i've hit a stoppage time winner in the 90+3 and stood up off my couch. alone. in my apartment. pack openings got me. the last card in every pack seems to be the boosted slot and the little pause before it flips is genuinely evil (in the good way). pulled an 89 out of a gold pack during a card shower event and felt like i'd won actual money. streaks is the trap and i love it. 3 wins running and the bonuses start stacking, and now you're betting the whole run on one more match. lost a 9 streak last week and had to put my phone down and walk around. pro tip for noobsr: the scout shop refreshes every 5 hours and it reads your squad, so check it before you buy packs. fuse your dupes, don't sell them. and the monday ladder puts you against 10 people at your own activity level, so grinders don't just farm you. is it pay to win? kinda, i think. but the ladder brackets mean my spending doesn't bully free players, and free players still pull good cards. i pay because i'm impatient, and the game's honest about the odds (they're published on every pack, i've checked) stamina is the one real annoyance. it caps low early and you will hit the wall mid session. upgrade your stadium, the cap goes up, the problem mostly (?) goes away best money i've spent on my phone this year. probably shouldn't be proud of that but here we are. **Developer response:** Opening packs is our favourite part too, so seeing it top your list made our day. The art crew will be chuffed you called it awesome, and the quick matches are built exactly for that grab-a-game-anywhere itch. Thanks for the love.
