You have to have access to a printer to print out the return label. Which the system is supposed to generate automatically once you request return. But it fails at which point you are supposed to contact customer service. The merchandise is exactly what was expected. I made one return because the size didn’t fit. It couldn’t have been easier. I packed the item and printed their UPS label. I dropped it at a drop off. Within days my credit card was refunded. The best feature of the business is they keep you updated via emails along the way. Once i was able to get an agent through their whatsapp after a week of waiting for a response immideatly once i got it they ended the chat canceled my return asked me to do it again and i am still facing the same problem!! This is absurd !! Do not buy if you dont intend on keeping the purchase !! ### 1/5 — MATCHES is a scam, do not buy from this company! *2024-03-21* I purchased a pair of shoes on February 26th, but they did not fit so I started a refund and sent the shoes back within the allotted window, which was through March 14th. I received no status updates throughout the process and when I contacted the company they said that any orders placed before March 8th were not eligible for a refund due to an administration change and would not be issuing a refund. I am going to file a claim with my credit card company, but this experience is absolute trash. Do not buy from this company unless you want to be out hundreds of dollars when you randomly find out you can’t return things! ### 1/5 — You will not get a refund for faulty items *2024-02-27* I received a faulty item and they agreed to have it returned and inspected. It was inspected and I was told I would be provided a store credit. As it was faulty I requested a refund, they agreed. Two weeks later no refund. Multiple emails sent. Phone calls made. Social media contacted. No refund. Have no disputed the transaction on PayPal. All of their communication refers to “waiting to hear back” or “looking into my enquiry”. No wonder they have so many bad reviews. I will never shop here again. ### 1/5 — Awful app with limited shipping *2023-03-12* Used to love matches but they truely do not want to ship to Australian customers anymore. If you can get through their app which constantly crashes you then find half the items won’t even ship anymore, even though their minimum purchase has gone up to $800 for free shipping. ### 1/5 — Horrendous customer service *2022-09-27* What else to add… This has been truly the worst place for me as soon as i encountered issue with a return. Customer support is so bad, they reply in weeks, months, and if they do they just don’t do anything … it’s really astonishing how incompetent everyone in there is. They just really don’t care about your issue which seems soooo simple and quick to solve. But they make it hard and long. And the turnaround of people in customer support is astonishing. People just leave and drop all their emails and you are stuck with starting the cycle again to be dropped by someone who has left again. Hints of toxic work culture. ### 1/5 — Product quality/ after sale team. *2022-09-02* I bought a gold plated bracelet for my partner as a wedding gift. 1 week after, the plating started to peel off. The return period had expired as I kept it waiting until our wedding (I had to order early because it was in another country). Then I contacted customer service. They thought it was a tarnish even though I sent photos and explained. I explained it again and it took 1 month for them to take a return decision. During this time, as I was constantly traveling, of course, I did not take a bracelet that I did not use around the country. when i finally got to australia i said i could return it. I sent the cargo and sent a confirmation e-mail to make sure it arrived. On the same day, I received two different answers from one customer representative that they received the product and the other that they did not receive it yet. It will be 3 months since we got married. i'm so sorry that I bought jewellery from them. Dishonor pricing *2020-07-04* I have been a customer of matchesfashion.com. The site has a lot of nice product on sale. I have had no problem in the past with purchasing from them but it was an uncommon story today. The item 1356022 Burberry cap went on sale 40% on July 3, 2020 at 12:30 AM (MDT) which brought the price to $168 USD instead of $280 USD. I had the item in the cart but I was too tired to get out of bed to dig out my credit card. I waited until this morning. It was a mistake. The item in my cart was no longer 40% off. Yet, the product listing page still listed 40%. I have the screenshot as proof. There was pricing issue. I contact customer service. After waited for 40 minutes, the agent, Sarah, advised me that the item was not on sale. It was the web error, and the issue had been flagged. She refused to honour the price. A commercial website had the technical difficulty, and they were not aware of the issues. They frustrated me with the situation. I don't think I will shop here again. So, please check your credit card statements when you shop at this site. With the glitches they had, you might end up paying triple for the item. I don't recommend shopping on here. Update (12 hours later): after the sweet talk from the floor manager, Alex, I got an email from an agent with the information that I already got from Sarah. Basically they want to blame on the technical issues and dishonored the discount price. I quoted the content of the email below. “Dear Sam, Thank you for contacting MATCHESFASHION. Upon checking our system, I can see that the correct price for the Burberry Cap is USD $320. Please be kindly informed that all prices are subject to change depending on our internal pricing plan and items can be excluded from an on going sale. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment this has caused and thank you for your kind understanding.
