Challenge a friend to the exact same board — same letters, same clock — then see who scored higher. Send the link, they tap it, they're playing.

MatchWords is a word search, boggle-style brain game: swipe adjacent letters to build words, beat the timer, keep your daily streak alive. No sign-up, no accounts, ever.

MULTIPLAYER: CHALLENGE YOUR FRIENDS
- Finish any game, tap Challenge, and send the link wherever you already chat
- A real link: blue and tappable in iMessage or WhatsApp, and it opens straight into the board
- Your friend plays your exact board — your score stays hidden until they finish
- Then the face-off: both scores side by side, victory, defeat or tie
- A notification tells you who won the moment they answer
- Drop one link in the group chat and everyone gets their swing at it
- Challenges last 7 days, one shot each — nobody replays until they win

New: two ways to play! Classic is the game you know — just the board and the clock. Arcade hands you a freeze, an extension and a hint every game, duels included. Choose in Settings; each mode keeps its own records.

Also new: the end-game summary has a Missed tab — every word that was on the board and you never found, with the points it was worth.

### 1.10.1 — 2026-08-05

New: multiplayer, rebuilt! Challenges now travel as real links — blue and tappable in iMessage or WhatsApp, opening straight into the board. Your friend plays your exact grid, your score stays hidden until they finish, and a notification tells you who won the moment they answer.

Also in this update: VoiceOver now announces the menu, pause and end-game buttons by what they do instead of by their icon, and the countdown reads out the time remaining.
