### 5/5 — Great App!!!

Great!!!!

### 5/5 — Great

My daughter strugles with math but this has got her a little better.

### 5/5 — From F's to A's

*2010-05-13, version 0*

My son struggles with math facts in school, and needs daily practice to help him keep up with his class. We have been using this app EVERY DAY for 5 months now, and his math facts grades have gone from F's to A's! The program is great because he can be going through these flashcards and getting direct feedback on his performance, and I can be making dinner instead of sitting with him during this time. A time saver for all.

### 5/5 — Great for every one

*2010-05-12, version 0*

This app is great for kids and adults. Kids can practice their math skills without feeling to much pressure. Adults can play something educational or just keep math skills fresh.
The app is easy to use with no nonsense.

### 5/5 — Super app

*2010-04-17, version 0*

I read about this app in the iPhone for Dummies book. I recommend this to all parents with iPhones. It's so easy to have your kids flip through the cards and reinforce/learn their math tables. So far, we've been pleased, as my son likes to play with it.

### 5/5 — Awesome app!!!

*2010-02-02, version 0*

Just what I was looking for to help my 6.5-year-old w/ math facts. The surprising part is that my 5-year-old son LOVES this app. He was reciting math facts to me just this morning after only using this app for 2 days!

I love how you can change the settings multiple times to suit each child. The kids can just pass the iPod back and forth w/out me having to change the settings - time saver!!! Well worth the $0.99!!!

### 5/5 — My son passes his tests with this

*2010-01-30, version 0*

My 3rd grader makes this part of his daily homework to learn his timetables. In 15-20 minutes he went from knowing half of his "sixes" to knowing all of them. I recommend first learning with multiple choice until consistently getting all answers correct and then turning multiple choice off. I highly recommend this app.

### 5/5 — Old school flash cards...

*2010-01-11, version 0*

One of the best little education apps we have found. Works as advertised. We like the fact that this app allows us to configure and quiz on all the math facts. So many of the others are really just math games (which are fun too). But, this app is the one we come back to.

### 5/5 — Great support and kids actually use this app

*2010-01-11, version 0*

I like that I can customize the tests. Keypad and multiple choice give us variety. We like this one best.

### 5/5 — Great educational tool

*2010-01-08, version 0*

I have this on both of my kids iPod Touch's and although they begrudge having to do flash cards to memorize their math facts, they do it more willingly because its on their favorite toy. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Very Nice Features!

*2009-11-16, version 0*

The nicest feature is you can create your own level; which is perfect for my four year old. It took me a little while for me to discover where my custom cards were (at the bottom), but once I did ~ I loved this app.!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2009-11-04, version 0*

This beats paying money and time on writing up flashcards. Great options so that you can work with the numbers you want. Gonna be using this with my students tutor sessions

### 5/5 — My kids love this app

*2009-10-14, version 0*

My children (ages 7 & 11) look forward to their math study time with this app. Definitly worth $0.99!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Freezes all the time after only a few cards

*2015-02-11, version 2.4.2*

This app used to work quite well. Now it freezes after about 9 cards, regardless of the function: add, subtract, multiply or divide.
I uninstalled and reinstalled and rebooted my iphone. Still doesn't work. Very disappointing. It renders the app worthless.

### 1/5 — Poor usability, buggy

*2009-06-10, version 0*

The description mentions a keypad, but I saw no settings for this anywhere. It only had multiple choice, which is meaningless for answering math questions. You can add new card decks, but there is no way to edit existing ones or remove any. I wouldn't like this app even if it were free. I'm sorry I paid $1.99 for it.

### 1/5 — Simplistic and Inadequate

*2009-04-29, version 0*

Simplistic and Inadequate

The builder of "Math Flash Cards" is negligent to forego mention that the app only goes to number 15 for top and/or bottom number! This is painfully inadequate, particularly for addition and subtraction. Even 2nd graders are required to do simple math up to 100. Not worth a dollar. There are better free math quiz apps available.

Anyone who rated this 5 stars either has a vested interest in the builder, or is using these cards for Pre-K kids.

### 3/5 — Good but needs wider range

*2009-08-29, version 0*

I like this app. My son is happy to do it for about 5 minutes at a time, after that it is a little too boring. However, I wish it went all the way up to 20. My son is great with 1-10, but needs to work on 10-20 facts. On the plus side, it gives him the chance to try out multiplication in a non-threatening environment. (He's just starting 3rd grade; multiplication not introduced yet).

### 3/5 — Decent start, with a few bugs...

*2008-12-19, version 0*

Decent start to a reasonable app, clean interface for young fingers. Shuffle feature doesn't work though, making this program somewhat disappointing because the answer to the next question is alway one number higher/lower than the previous one. Also, you can't mix addition and subtraction questions into the same test - you have to stick to one or the other at a time. "Practice" option seems to crash the app almost every time. Wait for an update that incorporates all of these things before you consider making a purchase...

### 4/5 — Good, but needs fine-tuning

*2011-01-24, version 2.4.2*

It's a good, basic flash card app. However, it REALLY needs a way for parents to view the # correct / #incorrect for each problem type so that we have an idea of how accuracy is coming along.

### 4/5 — Awesome, but.....

*2010-12-08, version 0*

It needs to be able to set the maximum number for the solution

### 4/5 — Very nice app.

*2009-11-06, version 0*

I am pleased with this app and a great price. A couple of things I would like to see:

1. Wider range, at least 20 or 25.
2. Separate the deck configuration from deck selection to play. It is a little confusing for kids since there is an arrow and I don't want it to be quite so easy for them to change the configs I set up for them.
3. Ability to mix operators for a set.

### 4/5 — Get it

*2009-10-28, version 0*

Yep, it's worth a buck. My fourth grader hates math review (and man he needs it) but he loves to play with my iPhone. So this worked for us!

### 4/5 — Nice

*2009-10-21, version 0*

Nice app and a good price.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Math Flash Cards are great

*2016-11-17, version 2.5*

I can customize several math facts sets for my different kids, and change them easily. This week, my son is doing 3 to 12 minus 3, one daughter is set up for 0 to 12 times 5, and the other has a set going with division.

### 5/5 — Great App but needs an update

*2015-02-03, version 2.4.2*

This a very nice, simple app for practicing math facts. Did you make in into algebra, but you're still a little weak on basic arithmetic? This is the one. But with iOS 8, it now hangs after the last card in a practice session so you can't close the app without double-clicking and dismissing it. When that is fixed, it will go back to being number one.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2013-09-06, version 2.4.2*

great for my 4th grader and my first grader. Perfect to customize level needed!

### 5/5 — Great

*2011-10-31, version 2.4.2*

Love it

### 5/5 — Impressive

*2011-06-19, version 2.4.2*

Wow! This is a GREAT app! It's like actually useful! I like it.

### 5/5 — Exactly that...perfect flash cards

*2011-05-04, version 2.4.2*

I tried to find the best flash card app for my kids and I do think I found it, I wasn't looking for anything but just easy to use flash cards! I like all of the customizing you can do with the particular flash cards in the four areas of basic math, I like the 'stats', and I like the nice large numbers so they can quickly type the answer and move on. Its literally just like flashing the hard copy cards myself but instead I can be making dinner while they are at the table practicing! Its as good as it gets for flash cards!

### 5/5 — Math Flash Cards + Kids = Fun!

*2011-05-02, version 2.4.2*

If you have kids who need to learn their math functions, you should grab this app. I tested this app on a bunch of kids, including one who hated math. They all loved the app and wanted to "play again," including the kid who supposedly hated math (he wants to play this game all the time now). This app is very customizable for the skill level and patience of the child. $0.99 is a steal for getting your kid to love math. Grab this app today!

### 5/5 — Can't keep my boys off my phone now

*2011-03-29, version 2.4.2*

This is a straightforward flashcard app that delivers. My kids use it everyday and I have used it in ESL tutoring sessions. Kids love to do anything on a phone.

### 5/5 — Best Flash card app out there!

*2011-01-12, version 2.4.2*

Easy to use. You can set app to turn multiple choice on or off. There are also settings for working on specific multiplication tables, say 3's. You can see your time and work on improvement. Wrong answers are noted and that problem is given again at the end of the set. This is a great flashcard app.

### 5/5 — Great Suppliment to Everyday Math

*2010-11-12, version 0*

Provides the rigor that kids stuck with Everyday Math do not get. Love the feature of being able to turn certain factors on and off to build their table as they learn it in school.
