I was just thinking about installing it again just in case there’s a chance I would do better. However, before I install any old apps, I always try to visit the developer’s website first. This one doesn’t seem to be safe because I don’t see it being locked. I’m now having second thoughts. Is there anyone that can help? If not, I’ll just let this app stay where it is and hope that some one notices. ### 5/5 — Fantastic *2021-06-12, version 6.2.0* I love these clever math tricks. I knew a few of these, but the app has so many. I enjoy playing and practicing. I’d rather pass the time using this app than playing all the stupid game apps. She wanted to practice her 4’s but she got 4 Times 66. That’s pretty tough for a 3rd grader. Suggestion to the devs: For each lesson, the app could include a proof or explanation. It took me a while to figure out why the Round-number-multiplication technique works. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Broken Game Mechanics *2025-01-15, version 6.3.0* When you play it doesn’t tell you if you got the question right or wrong. And in the timed games it always says you got the last question wrong because the question wasn’t answered. The last question in a timed game can never be answered - therefore it should not be counted in the total. ### 1/5 — Mcat *2018-12-13, version 6.0.2* I’m studying for the mcat and this app is trash. You don’t have dividing by fractions, scientific notation, and dividing by weird numbers like 4/3, 54/16...I want my money back. ### 1/5 — Would not recommend... *2014-10-30, version 5.0.1* ...this app to be purchased to help with math. It is basically just teaches shortcuts to learn difficult math problems. This app gives students a procedural understanding for how to do certain math problems. Although certain math procedures may be used to solve the difficult math problems, these are all just short cuts. By having the student learn to actually solve the difficult problem would be much more beneficial for the student because it will help the student develop a conceptual understanding instead of just learning a shortcut to solve the problem. Only way this app could be beneficial is to get students to think about why these certain shortcuts work.
