### 5/5 — Great Educational Tool

*2012-02-01*

My Algebra students used this app for a graphing lab where they were to discover what the slope and y-intercept letters did to a line graph. We also used the parabola function as well. The kids really enjoyed the lab! I would recommend this for any teacher that would like their students to investigate and learn for themselves.

### 5/5 — Fun math app

*2012-01-30*

Great app to show the relationship between shapes and equations for kids learning geometry. Has a fun "quiz me" mode where the user identifies points of interest on the shape. Recommended!

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2012-01-26*

I love how simple, uncluttered and easy-to-use MathGraph is. The "quiz me" mode is great!

### 5/5 — Mathgraph

*2012-01-24, version 1.0*

Muy buena, te ayuda a entender las traslaciones y las diferentes ecuaciones de las seccoones conicas es interactivo

### 5/5 — Great learning tool!!!

*2012-01-18*

This is the best app to learn simple graphs. It is very interactive and intuitive. I can change each variable individually and see how the graph change. The quiz is also fun. It gives the answer too quickly though. Overall a very nice app and it's free! I wish I had this app when I learned about graph.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Didn’t work for me

*2021-03-07*

On an iPad, all I got was a graph. There was no way to move the line. I tried using my finger like a stylus. No interface at all.

### 3/5 — Great but glitchy

*2015-05-07*

I love this app! It's a great tool for letting students discover conics and how they shift. It's a great teaching tool!

However, it crashes a lot and many students aren't able to use the app without it crashing often, many times immediately, making it difficult or impossible to use.

I wouldn't have any complaints at all if it would just stay open!

### 4/5 — Bad Reviews out of a Great and Useful App.

*2020-11-05*

The app might not be so detailed and not updated but, the app is a great start off.

If this was the only app you can afford, I know you guys would still use it. It might have some problems but we can deal.

### 4/5 — Nice design

*2020-06-07*

Looks like a well-designed app for learning or teaching the curves. I was looking for a way to input an equation to see the graph, but I couldn’t see a way to do it. As it stands, the app shows a pre-defined graph and curve, and you can use sliders to change the parameters. Nice, crisp design.

### 4/5 — Great, but could be better

*2016-06-27*

This is an amazing app. It is very helpful and though I've not tried all of the features yet it seems promising so far. Instead of scroll bars for adjusting the m and b in a line though, it would be easier to have a way to input a number so you don't have to scroll accurately down the the tenths place. Otherwise I would recommend this app if you like to do algebra on a device!

### 4/5 — Nice App

*2012-03-05*

However, when graphing Hyperbolas with a shifted center the app is not calculating the vertices correctly, it is mirroring it over the axis.

For example

(y-3)^2 / 16 - (x-2)^2 / 9 = 1

### 4/5 — great, but ...

*2012-02-17*

great for showing my students how changing certain variables affect curves, BUT it crashes when you change the exponent for polynomial curves.

### 5/5 — Simple y funcional

*2020-11-14, version 1.8*

De las aplicaciones básicas para guiarse en geometría analítica, si eres docente de esta materia es muy útil.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2014-03-07*

I have found it easy to enter my information and see where I am. Easy to understand the pie graph.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2014-01-17*

This app is just what I need. It feels great to search it and see it come up!

It's too smart

### 5/5 — Why A worksheet?

*2013-03-13*

This app is proof that paper notes are not as effective as Hands on simulation!

### 5/5 — Awesome ap for teaching translations of graphs

*2012-11-28*

This ap is awesome! I will be using it to teach and review graphing various functions. The only thing I would like to see added would be the ability to put in asymptotes. I'd pay for that!

### 5/5 — Brilliant!

*2012-09-03*

If anyone has access to this and their teacher doesn't allow the use of it, they should tell their teacher what year this is. Apps like this are a true extension of one's brain.

### 5/5 — Useful for discovery

*2012-07-10*

This is a useful tool for student discovery of graphs. Problem is that my school does not have an iPad lab. Would be great for iPod or iPhone since the students already own these items and they could easily be brought to school.

### 5/5 — Awesome!!!

*2012-03-28*

My kids love this app

### 5/5 — Great!

*2012-03-08*

I was just thinking today how math e-textbooks without the capability of this program are a waste of the medium. Glad to see someone's got it covered.

( I found a bug, though. In polynomial mode, y=0 is graphed as y=1)
