The age we build for is roughly 5–10: addition, subtraction, times tables and division at about primary-school level. For 12 year olds that's probably below where they already are, and we're sorry you only found that out after downloading. It says 4 and up, but my 4yo son played this game and hated it so much he insisted we delete it and never play again. it is violent, depicting guns and bad guys abusing cute little creatures locked in cages, which is not conducive to learning for young minds. On top of that, it is stress inducing, literally his heart was beating out of his chest because he felt like he didn’t have enough time to solve the simple math problems he already knows, as the bad guys get closer to your hero character (after showing them locking up these creatures and hurting them making them cry in the first 5 levels!!!!) so sad to see my son stressed over a “learning game” advertised to children.
