Really cool app to take notes in. Would love to see it optimized for iPhone 6 resolution, and maybe landscape orientation. Also moving the cursor automatically to the space after so I don't have to click the space in front.

This is app is really helpful...It could be enhance and be more user friendly if the math sign buttons were bigger (maybe put some buttons on the bottom or side). Also, it would be helpful if there was a division sign, the one that looks like the square root for long division (as well as the other division sign that looks like the line with two dots.) Other improvements can be to have the 'Documents'/close button further away from the other buttons, because it gets accidentally hit numerous times. Next, it would be nice to just select on the screen and have the cursor go to the end of the line instead of trying to have to select on the tiny little space just after the equation.  Also, being able to group the documents in folders would be helpful.

This seems to be a good app, but is hard to use for those of us new to MathMagic. It really needs some kind of manual or tutorial. I was writing a formula that involved a square root. It took me a little bit to figure out how to get out from inside the square root symbol.

It is by far the best equation editor. But very limited compared to the pro version. I wish that the developers would make the PRO version available ASAP. I would pay the same price as for the desktop version since it is an application for life. Please make the PRO version available soon! You deserve 5 stars but for now, 3 stars for the lite version since it is very limited.

I don't know how you get the symbols, when it opens it has a place to upload documents and when you click on the only link on the only page for information, it sends you to another link. No symbols.

I wish this app worked. Having an iOS equation editor would make an iPad the ideal classroom tool.

I wish this worked or that Apple would make one.

Poor application. If you select an symbol field you cannot undo it, and it doesn't give you the option to write out complex equations, it would only be useful for very basic equations and not for others trying to type out a nuclear fusion equation!

I haven't used this editor but i would think/hope i wouldn't need a tutorial on how to simply delete a summation i just plugged in.  I am over this app before I'm even able to explore it.  Don't recommend.

This app is needed for iOS, but the implementation needs some work. The interface is sluggish at times and is hard to navigate through the equation. I would love for this developer to continue to update this app for newer versions of iOS, but alas they have abandoned the software. Very sad.

The app locks up my iPhone 12 with every use.  Must power cycle to exit app.  Unwise to invest money in this.  Otherwise this is a very cool app in principle.  Correct the bug and expand symbol library to include the Greek alphabet and I can see re-installing app.

I tried to write expressions including [[ ]], \in, \subseteq, \sqcup and it made errors. First, the file didn’t saved well. Second, when I printed the file as image, there were several noise. Lastly, sometimes it was impossible to delete. I hope you to solve this problem.

I just installed this on my iPad Pro (m2 processor) and it works great. Easy to use, fast, and the equations pasted into Word and Pages look excellent. I can also copy from those documents back into this app, edit, and then paste the revised equation back into those documents. I can also paste as a graphic if I want to. Very nice!

This program has allowed me to complete my math homework in a legible manner, so that I can then print it in my OneNote to then export as a pdf to print off or send digitally. It was a lot faster to work with all manner of scientific work especially chemistry and physics.

In your description you say “one of the best...”. For me I’ve tried lots and yours is THE BEST. I teach math using my iPad Pro. MathMagic Lite has been the best find. Simple copy/paste from the app into Explain Everything and I have great looking math expressions, equations, formulae, etc. And this is the Lite version. I wonder what the “real” version would be like. This version is awesome. I use it all the time. Thanks!

I do not understand why Microsoft Word, Pages, and Google Docs for the IPad do not suppor equations! It seems like such a simple problem to fix and yet a massive oversight! Seriously, get it together. 

That being said, this app is the only I’ve found that doesn’t have gimmicks and pitfalls and all the other stupid things these other “equation editors” have! It just gives you options for how to structure your equations, plain and simple. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for and needing. 

I use an IPad Pro for school since I have only a heavy computer at home, but I’m in only science classes and frequently have to write scientific papers, this app allows you to write any equation you need, and copy and past it into your word processor. 

So again, I say: thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you.

Thanks! I can't make a piece wise function though.  Would love to see a button with only one bracket either open or close in addition to both for the pw function great app

I wanted an app that would produce neat maths text that I could integrate with my maths notes on iPad, so tried this one. At first it seemed a bit fiddly, but then I do use an iPad mini. However I have now got used to the app and as I can zoom right in on the text I'm working on this is no longer a problem. Most importantly this app is producing excellent results, and has handled all the formulas I can throw at it. It is far neater than my handwritten notes, has far more options than the iPad keyboard and is faster than my excellent LaTeX editor. The image files it produces can easily be integrated into my work and resized. A fabulous free app!

I love this app.  I often have to prepare maths examples, questions and solutions.  This app lets me copy and paste with ease into my w.p. On my iPad.   Not only that: I also use the Mac version, so I don't need to learn two different equation editors.
