### 5/5 — Helps my student participate

*2019-02-23, version 1.70*

I downloaded this app to help a 4th grade (now 5th grade) student of mine better participate in math class. This student has fine motor deficits due to ataxia and uses a communication device to speak. Therefore she isn’t able to write and show her work using a pencil and paper or verbally share her answers. This app not only allows her to show her work when solving various math problems but, with the new text-to-voice capabilities, it also provides a way for her to share aloud with her teacher and classmates how she solved a problem. Overall this free app works well and enables a child, who otherwise wouldn’t be able to, to participate in class like her peers. On a side note, the developer has been very responsive to suggestions and requests for assistance.
