### 3/5 — Dynamic graphs

*2025-11-27, version 9.9.1*

There is a problem with dynamic graphs. Both 2d and 3d graphs. The program starts and runs to the end without showing a graphical window with changes — only the final result. This is very inconvenient.
Also, please, add app designer for this mobile version.

### 3/5 — Could be better

*2025-10-15, version 9.9.1*

Internet was down at my university, with an iPad powerful like mine ( the iPad Air with m2 chip ), it should work locally.

### 4/5 — Not bad

*2025-10-02, version 9.9*

Not bad

*2025-05-13, version 9.8*

### 2/5 — Taking time out of my day to review this terrible app

*2025-02-03, version 9.7*

Now you know

### 3/5 — UI is still buggy on ipad

*2024-11-16, version 9.6*

Some improvements. But usability is still an issue on ipad. On iPadOS18, there is helpful strip of symbols at the bottom (left, right, up, down, (), [], {}, =, etc …) that are in the way of input when input reached the bottom of the window. We can’t even see what we typed.

### 3/5 — I Can’t Sign Out My Account in this App

*2024-10-29, version 9.6*

My account got error and i can’t find sign out button in this App. Please help

### 4/5 — Link with One drive

*2024-08-06, version 9.5*

It would be great if you add a link to the one drive files, so that I do not have to copy each file I have. It is just boring to copy all the functions and all the data I have there. At the moment is better to use any desk and a remote computer with real matlab on it

### 4/5 — App don’t support complex password, as website do

*2024-06-16, version 9.4*

Not very comfortable on phone. How to edit prev formulas?

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-04-17, version 9.4*

The app is not working or working so slow.
Zero rate.

### 1/5 — Please fix keyboard issue with Live Scripts

*2024-04-08, version 9.4*

There has been a really nasty bug with using live scripts when using a keyboard on IOS IPAD. It almost makes the app unusable, but since I am required for school, I have no choice.

I have been using the app for coming on two years, and this has still not been addressed. I have tried to contact support, but there has been no changes.

Please fix this!

### 1/5 — Please let me use the browser version

*2024-03-11, version 9.3*

Data files (txt, xls) in the MATLAB Drive aren’t even displayed in order to load them using readmatrix/readtable. The function “uigetfile” doesn’t work and the script just bricks indefinitely. I’d love to be able to use the browser version of the app, but instead I’m forced to download this, which does not work for what I need.

### 3/5 — Continent to use, but very buggy

*2023-11-23*

I like the a ability to use the app with IOS devices, but there are a lot of bugs. Particularly if I am using a keyboard, there is a problem with the live scripts. My cursor does not stay inside the live script area, and I cannot type anything.

I have contacted support, but have not had any response. Please fix this annoying issue.

### 4/5 — Omg MATLAB has a mobile app

*2023-11-14, version 9.2.1*

Works pretty normally :)

### 1/5 — Full version matlab with simulink is needed for ipad pros

*2023-10-27, version 9.2.1*

As apple silicons are getting better and more powerful, it seems that it’s time for the native iPad’s Matlab application that runs just like in the mac computers
Me as a user feel this shortage so much and i hope that your team brings the power of full version of Matlab on powerful iPad pro

Thanks

### 2/5 — Works just so

*2023-10-16, version 9.2.1*

It works but my oh my is the user experience terrible.
The code editor needs a lot of work so it doesn’t snap 10 lines further every time I try to select some text, the overall GUI is glitchy sometimes as well.
Please Mathworks team, work on this

### 1/5 — Nutzung durch bugs äußerst frustrierend

*2023-10-03, version 9.2.1*

### 4/5 — Simulink

*2023-08-21, version 9.1*

Simulink is so much needed these days

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Recent update bugs

*2026-01-16, version 9.10*

(iPad Air M2, 26.2) As of the recent update, plots do not scale to fit the window when opened unless the window is transformed while the plot is open. Since the plot cannot be saved if the window is transformed while it’s open, saving a plot as an image now requires generating the plot, opening the plot, resizing the window to properly scale the plot, closing the plot, reopening the plot, then using the save button.

### 1/5 — We want the full Matlab desktop application!!

*2026-01-15, version 9.10*

We don't want a clunky cloud drive that is not integrated with file explorer, or a sloth speed cloud based computation with zero GPU capabilities. We want the full desktop application so my iPad pro can use the M5, and we want to install all the toolboxes on iPadOS.

And we also want to use Apple Silicon GPU with parallel computing toolbox on iPad and Mac. Why is it only for CUDA? Now apple silicon has the hardware to accelerate AI/ML tasks!

This app is just straight up useless in this state.

### 1/5 — Non mi fa nemmeno accedere

*2025-11-24, version 9.9.1*

### 1/5 — no operation on iPad Air m3

*2025-11-02, version 9.9.1*

Application No support and non operation

### 1/5 — Chia sẽ các file không được

*2025-08-05, version 9.8*

Nên xóa app

### 1/5 — Straight trash

*2025-06-17, version 9.8*

Can’t split screen and reloads every 5 secs

### 1/5 — no healthy upstream

*2025-05-26, version 9.8*

gabisa login

*2025-03-17, version 9.8*

### 1/5 — Lost communication with MATLAB

*2024-09-29, version 9.5*

The app ran fine the first time, then it is just showing Lost communication with MATLAB. No troubleshooting guidelines or FAQs to resolve the issue. Terrible experience!

### 1/5 — Useless for my needs

*2024-07-01, version 9.5*

Matlab is an incredibly power suite of programs, I have been using it professionally for over 30 year. One of its strength is it ability to present complex data in ways non-experts can understand, often by using animated and interactive figures. Unfortunately, the mobile version has stripped even the most basic animation capabilities from figures. No drawnow, no realtime redeeming, no movie…. You get last frame. Not sure what they are shooting for here. It is not due to hardware limitations , tablets and cell phones have plenty of graphis power, there is no license option to enable animations… it is really a shame. I cannot overstate my disappointment.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — go

*2026-03-03, version 9.10*

good

### 5/5 — Great for Basics!

*2023-12-01, version 9.2.1*

I have an iPad Pro with and M1 chip and a Magic Keyboard and I love to use Matlab Mobile. I had it a few years ago as well and since then there have some great and significant improvements. My class is not extremely intense and I do not have to use live scripts, but for what I need it for the results are always produced. Great job to the team for all the great improvements! I really feel like I do not have to use a computer for Matlab now and can do all my assignments using my iPad.

### 5/5 — Great for school work and projects

*2023-03-24, version 8.11*

This app produces exceptional performance on iPad/iPhone considering it can process results faster than most of my college’s desktop computers. I’ve run into a small issue figures. MATLAB seems to create permanent figures that cannot be cleared with the clear function. Each overwrite with new data confuses the figure and plots the old data, or simply omits the new data. The resolution to the bug(s) seems to be removing app and redownloading. Overall, the app works great with the files app. Creating, moving, renaming, etc. work wonderfully in both apps. Data collection with device sensors also works great. PS: I expect that MATLAB could/should replace clunky Pasco Capstone software (commonly found in physics classrooms) if resources were available and taught in previous classes. I do wish I had access to and knew how to use Matlab in high school.
(Edit) I’m still learning Matlab.

### 5/5 — Great for visualisation sensor data

*2023-03-01, version 8.11*

Was amazed by the still restraining all the key functionalities and nice figure visualisation on the phone. Collecting sensory data and plot my biking route. So much fun.

Without any bias, I think this is an amazing APP to do light programming especially visualisation on the phone!

### 5/5 — Very very helpful and easy to use~ Thank you so much!!!

*2022-05-14, version 8.8*

Thank you!

### 5/5 — MY FAVORITE APP

*2021-09-13, version 8.5*

This app takes up 100% of my screen time. Huge fan. Love matlab. I don’t even use my calculator anymore I just use matlab 💜🥺🚀✈️🌝

### 5/5 — Very intuitive, perfect for me

*2021-06-27, version 8.5*

Great for checking your work especially if you’re using an iPad to do your work from and scribble notes on it with the Apple Pencil as opposed to reading a printed textbook at the desk with the laptop open and a scribble pad and trying to juggle it all.

PDF textbook imported to Notability on iPad, Apple Pencil for scribbling on the PDF, and matlab on the iPhone. Boom.

### 5/5 — Kullanımı kısıtlı

*2021-06-18, version 8.5*

### 5/5 — It’s Matlab on mobile

*2021-03-10, version 8.3*

What else could you possibly want

### 5/5 — Cumple con todo

*2021-03-03, version 8.3*

Funciona excelente 👍🏻
