## What is Matnet Jiu?

Matnet shows you how jiujitsu positions are all connected. Over 50 positions (including original artwork) have been mapped out to show you how to get from position to submission. If you're a complete beginner looking for an understanding of the big picture, this can help you see what's possible. If you've been doing jiujitsu for awhile and feel like you might have a few holes in your game, this can help you plug those holes.

Use the "Match Planner" feature to plot each individual position across an entire match and save it for later. The "Big Picture" feature shows a high-level interactive node map of all positions and their transitions.

The dream is to some day have every jiujitsu position that you can think of mapped out in this way, but the only way to get there is with lots of feedback. Check it out and see if there's anything missing--new positions and artwork are added all the time!

### 3/5 — Needs more content

*2023-06-18*

I really love the setup and design of this app but there are not many moves on there that i use in my day to day jiujitsu and tournaments.
1 recommendation is that you add the assassins choke and the suimigayshi

### 4/5 — Awesome

*2023-03-11, version 1.2*

Very useful, it would be five stars if it covered more positions and maybe some stand up grappling as well, plus it would help if they had video tutorials too.

### 4/5 — Quick to reference

*2021-02-02*

This app is a great quick guide to what moves are available from what position. Some diagrams would be a nice touch here for improvement.

### 5/5 — Very creative work

*2021-01-10, version 1.2*

Very creative work

### 3/5 — Good and bad

*2020-11-09*

This app has a great concept. Being able to not only plan out a strategy, but also being able to see what moves are available from which position is also amazing as well. Thats the good.

The bad however is it seems very limited. A lot of moves and options are missing it seems. Another feature that would be cool is possibly explain the moves to get to the position of the move.

I like the app and plan to keep it, but it definitely needs improvement. If it gets better i will 5-star it and take down the bad parts of my review.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2020-11-01, version 1.2*

Awesome app. Gives me ideas on different sweeps and submissions from different positions which is something I get stuck with.
Perfect for a white belt ✌🏼

### 3/5 — Having trouble

*2020-09-24*

I’m not sure if this app needs to be updated but after saving a sequence, there’s no way to go back and start at the beginning again. You have to close the app and reopen it.

And then there was a sequence that I saved that… Wasn’t saved.

Looks like they need to upgrade this app. It’s too bad because it seems it could be onto something useful. I will upgrade my review if it improves.

### 5/5 — Great App for BJJ learning!

*2020-08-13, version 1.2*

Great App. I was trying to do this myself and now I have found an app that has done it for me. Awesome!

### 5/5 — Plan your drills!

*2020-08-01, version 1.2*

Great app for planning your drills out, or just reminding you of some of your options from common positions.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2019-12-16*

Wow this application is totally amazing. Yes you can build a big graph of all the various attacks and positions in jujitsu. It’s totally amazing that the developer actually took the time to create this graph and make you able to walk this graph to go from any position to submission. Amazing that this app is also free. kudos and thank you.
