It is hard to find a flaw in it. It makes the math seamless and outlines everything for you. I am having one frustrating problem on both my iPhone and iPad running current iOS: after inputting two matrices, if I push the Additional Algorithms icon button in the upper right of the central box, the app simply quits. Strongly recommened! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not intuitive at all *2021-12-06* I literally downloaded this and deleted it within five minutes. You are simply presented with an all zero 3 x 3 matrix called A. You can click a red square looking shaped button and all that does is change A to B, but it is still an old zero matrix. In the few minutes I messed around I couldn’t figure out how to change the zeros to actual numbers lol. I have no idea what they were trying to present with this app. ### 1/5 — Help please *2021-02-22, version 1.0.6* I want to use this app for vector calculations but i can’t figure out how to use it can somebody help me!?!? I am using an iPad Pro 9.7” running iPadOS 13.3.1 (the very latest). I would have reported this via some method other than a review, but there is no such method as your support link merely opens a privacy policy document that provides no email address. ORIGINAL REVIEW (11/19): Won’t Launch. App Crashes Sadly, version 1.01 will not launch. It rotates the screen to portrait and then immediately crashes all before rendering any part of the app. Using iPad Pro 9.7”. ### 1/5 — What about us, SE users? *2020-02-05, version 1.0.3* The screen does not fit on the most decent sized phone on the market. ### 1/5 — Broken without keyboard *2019-11-08, version 1.0.1* This app is completely broken. There’s no way to type in a matrix (keyboard button doesn’t work) and without that you can’t do anything. Also on the latest update (as of 11/8/2019), the app won’t even open on my iPhone 11. It immediately crashes back to the iPhone home screen. Will update my review when/if these bugs are fixed. ### 1/5 — Terrible interface *2019-09-10, version 1.0* It looks like a promising app with lots of functionality, but the basics of entering data are ignored. Unusable. I couldn't even work out how to add 2 matrices together with the interface. Faster with pen and paper. A wasted opportunity. Please don't waste your time. A text book would be more useful. I get the feeling this was written for his own use and it works well for him. It would have been useful to think about other users though, especially if you're asking people to pay for an app ### 2/5 — Things don’t fit on the screen *2021-04-13, version 1.0.6* I’m using an iPhone SE (2016) and on some views the text is cut off at the edges. For example on the Symbology & Decompositions page the entire left side of the equations is not visible. I also can’t figure out how to actually use the app because the instructions might be cut off. Please don’t forget about small-screen users! ### 2/5 — No landscape mode screen for the iPad. *2021-01-07* In my work, this is very critical! Lots of engineering work stations have fixed iPad monitors that are always in that position. Your application makes these expensive setups unable to use the program. It is a shame that a tool of this caliber is limited this way. It looks like our teams will have to create one; at least we have a good model to improve from. **Developer response:** Dear MxN user, Thank you for your feedback. It would be nice if the results of an operation could be saved to use in a following operation. For example, say you calculate the Inverse of a matrix, then multiply that by a second matrix without copying and re-entering the inverse. Otherwise, excellent UPDATE: The developer sent me an answer to the review. The matrix operations mentioned above and more are on the way. When they arrive, I will update this review again. It saves time by solving complex equations, operations for you. Users need to guess meanings of buttons. And the app will crash in the script mode if you try to delete the line twice. Don’t know why you’re having the issue of immediate crashing? Just thought you might want to know it does run for someone else. I don’t know how to use it though, I am good at regular math in my head, percentages even but this is pretty much “Greek to me” ### 5/5 — GORGEOUS 🤩 and sophisticated 🧐 *2021-04-11* This app takes something that makes most people’s eyes gloss over when they look at it -math- and makes it beautiful. I’m talking Día de los Muertos colorful festival explosion of color and its MATRIX MATH. Some of the hardest math around. I realize how much I don’t know when I look through all of the things this app can do, that I wouldn’t even know where to begin with. Wish I had this during high school I might have given more of a **** about higher level math. ### 5/5 — This Must Be Awesome *2021-04-11* This has to be a fantastic app for this kind of thing because I have no clue what any of it means or does. If I somehow, someday, I find myself in a place in time where I understand and can use this calculator, then I most likely won’t even need it, as by then the Xylomurphs will have made contact and gifted us with the technology for quantum cerebral nano implants. Interestingly, my future self just appeared and informed me that this is indeed a fantastic calculator and works as advertised. He also said, when asked, do not eat the Splorb. Then he said it again, “Remember, do not eat the Splorb.” Then he vanished. I’m going to go ponder all of this. Great work on the super math calculator. ### 5/5 — HIGHLY RECOMMEND! *2020-10-28* This is hands down the best mobile app for linear algebra. Allows for simple navigation and includes all the solvers I need. Not to mention, the app is visually pleasing and coded flawlessly.
