The app logged me off, and no matter what I try (new account, log in, forgot password, etc.) I get a “not connected” or “can’t send email” notification. Watch still functions. I hope it is able to sync time over bluetooth when necessary. ### 1/5 — No longer supported *2022-02-16, version 1.4.7* The watch was not bad but not great. I got mine on kickstarter so I’ve had it since release. The watch had quite a few bugs and issues from day one but the company was doing a great job of updating and fixing the watch. Then one day it seemed like the company just bailed on it. It’s no longer updated, customer support no longer answers emails and my watch is starting to act up. It was nice while the company was active but for this kind of money I’d suggest investing in a brand name watch that actually continues to update their product and has customer support. ### 3/5 — Love the watch.... But *2021-07-25, version 1.4.7* Can't get the latest update to load, keep getting a timeout, OTA failure. Even uninstall app and reinstalled? Still no help. Any ideas? ### 1/5 — Poor app, bad watch *2021-06-10, version 1.4.7* I really wanted to love this. I was a kick starter for V1 and V2. But they just can’t make a good product and this so is no expectation. Exceptionally slow sync times, it often fails, and doesn’t seem to store any info about your steps, workouts, etc. Every day I try and sync to my watch and yet there’s absolutely no info shown in the app (no steps or anything), despite the fact that I’ve had it tracking workouts three times this week. Abysmal with no support behind it. Avoid! ### 1/5 — Always off line *2021-03-25, version 1.4.7* Every time I try to create an account it tells me I’m offline. Moreover when I sync the data to my phone, only partial data gets synced. Major major issues with syncing and updates. The software is terrible and it kills the watch. Also, the customer service line is no help as it is constantly busy with no hold/wait que. I also emailed support and only received a generic reply. Please fix! ### 1/5 — New firmware update makes the watch unusable *2020-08-02, version 1.4.5* My previous review was 4 star but matrix put out a new firmware update that makes the watch completely unusable. It won’t connect and all it does is turn off and on. It’s unfortunate that they force the updates on you before they get the bugs out. I’ve tried all the old tricks to get it to work and nothing helps. Moniteur cardiaque donne pas la vrai lecture. ### 1/5 — The Good, the Bad & the Ugly *2020-04-08, version 1.4.1* In the interest of full disclosure, I supported this watch’s development through Indiegogo in January, 2019 for the mere investment of $200, not the full retail price of $500. April 2020 Update: There is no Good, only Bad & Ugly. This is actually a stunningly bad watch only equaled by software from hell. After trying for almost half a year to like the PowerWatch 2: I’ve come to the conclusion it is irredeemable. Firmware updates continue to delete my saved data, not resolve the photoshopped only bright display, and cause massive efforts to reconnect the watch with my iPhone. Do not - I repeat - DO NOT buy this watch at any price. You’ve been warned! Update No. 3: Additional App updates have done little to resolve the mediocre nature of this watch. The brightness of the watch face itself is much dimmer than the enhanced version of the Indiegogo marketing shot - a real disappointment ! The buttons on the side of the watch are difficult to engage, and yield very little pertinent information. Syncing is still spotty, and hard restarts are common. The bar graphs on the app itself are basic and unsophisticated. I’ll give the watch one more week to prove itself before my final opinion. Don’t hold your breath for a glowing review... Update No. 2: The new firmware update has resolved many issues. Syncing works now very quickly and data is now seen and saved by the app. Hopefully a light at the end of the tunnel... Update No. 1: From bad to worse with new update. Now the app stalls out or crashes when syncing. No data has been updated or saved since installing the last update, so sleep, calories, activities and heart rate indicate nothing over the past five days. Very disappointed so far. Hope major firmware and app updates are in the works or this watch is toast... Original review: The updated app version that came out yesterday deleted my data from the day of the update, and now crashes the app every time I try to open My PowerWatch manual. The displayed app data is pretty basic - do you plan to ultimately show more detail that is usable in comparing/ tracking the various apps? After 10 days of use, I’m pretty unimpressed with the “smart” functions of the PowerWatch 2. This is my fifth smart watch (various Garmins and an Apple Watch) and the least sophisticated app of the bunch. I plan a full review of both watch and app after I’ve used it for a month. ### 1/5 — Watch does not stay connected to iPhone *2020-03-20, version 1.2.9* After the last firmware upgrade, the watch does not receive notifications and does not stay connected to Bluetooth. I have sent 2 requests to support but have not seen any updates in 2 weeks. ### 1/5 — Worst watch ever *2020-01-28, version 1.2.8* I pair the watch and it hard restarts. Over and over and over. When it restarts, it deletes all the data and displays the wrong time. Piece of crap is even worse than the first matrix watch. I didn’t think that was possible! ### 3/5 — Ideas for improvement *2020-01-09, version 1.2.7* 1) option to take heart rate live on watch 2) GPS toggle 3) permanent backlight option with level control 1-10 (1 being just visible in darkness and 10 being max), I would be willing to charge weekly for this option as having to press the back button for 3 seconds everytime you look at the watch is cumbersome. 4) More explanation regarding the interfaces for example what is the red ring on the watch face for? Constant issues with GPS. The app needs to be deleted and reinstalled for a sync at times. Only good part is it tells the time and doesn’t need to be recharged. Both the watch and the app are not functioning as supposed to. Customer service doesn’t exist. App or watch hasn’t been updated in a long time. The sleep tracking works better now. The syncing is faster and more reliable. I do wish however it had the option of displaying the seconds.... any chance of getting this in the next update? On delivery, it looked and felt exceptional. However the watch was let down with various glitches which initially made it unreliable. However the charge seems to run out half way through activity if it is not fully charged . Buttons seem to be awkwardly placed in a nonergonomic way and too hard .
