When I began using a book version while she continued using the app, we were surprised to discover errors and omissions on every page. I no longer trust this app as an accurate representation of Matthew Henry's Commentary. Recommend the developer remove the app from the App Store until it is corrected. I know this to be fact, because my wife has book copies of the entire Matthew Henry commentary that has been passed down through generations and we read together every morning. This review is not to criticize, but to make everyone aware. it’s still a great commentary. ### 4/5 — Lack settings menu *2025-05-22, version 15.0* There is no settings menu to adjust the font or use night vision. The only downside to this app which is not a deal-killer but is quite annoying is that on my iPhone if the app closes or even times out, when I open the app my place where I had been reading has scrolled down considerably. I am still in same general section, but need to scroll up to fine my place which isn’t super easy as the commentary has a “wall of text” aspect to it. Even so, I have used Matthew Henry on and off for pretty much 30 years. My parents had the complete hardcover collection of his commentary. I love that now I can bring MH in my pocket wherever I go to enrich my study of the Word. Especially with young kids at home, it’s much easier to open an app than pull out a large book for study. There is great ease of use and a faithful reproduction of the original. I have found one or two typographical errors, but other than that I have nothing to regret in buying this App. If you are unfamiliar with Matthew Henry and are seeking a commentary that runs circles around the modern fluff, this is the one you want. I love his language and that KJV was the main translation of his day. So many modern commentaries use the modern perverted versions. He is very clear and challenges readers to look up word definitions. Would not not to be without it. I bought 6 volume hard copy and always to have non digital materials.
