Their audios are predominately Ai and they advertise a low annual cost of $39, but you’re charged $56. Overall lousy user experience and false advertising ### 1/5 — Nothing free? *2025-03-05, version 1.2* Would be nice to listen for free instead of paying. A heads up can’t listen unless you pay for it would be nice. I give it half a star ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time downloading *2025-03-04* I was so excited when I downloaded this app, only to find out you have to pay a ridiculous amount of money just to be able to listen to anything. Not a single story is free. You get a “one time 50% off”promo discount but even that is still $20! I wouldn’t bother. I would be all over this if it were cheaper. Which is a real bummer. However, I discovered that to access the books, there’s a $20 yearly subscription. While that’s an improvement from the previous $40, I was hoping there would be some free options available. Others sound like AI voices and I could not listen to them. I wish the app let you rewind or fast forward. Once it is paused the entire story starts over if you play it again. It was offered at a 3 day free trial and you can preview some stories. But, it was not worth the subscription price of $39.99 a year. **Developer response:** Thanks for the detailed feedback! We're actively working to improve the listening experience. ### 2/5 — Nothing is free *2025-07-20* I read in the description of the app along the lines of everything is free, which to me insinuates that the stories are free, but going into the app it turns out you need a subscription to hear any of the stories in full. The only thing you can hear for free are the preview of each story, which is false advertising. I can understand needing to make money from the app but there should be some free options or an Ad for episode type arrangement. Having to pay over $20, for stories I can find elsewhere, is unreasonable. **Developer response:** Sorry about the frustration.
