Obtaining aircraft’s takeoff and landing performance numbers is undoubtedly one of the most significant part of the flight planning. Maverick was created to make this process as precise, as safe, as quick, and some might say, as pleasurable as possible! The app comes not just with aircraft AFM data to calculate V-speeds, power settings, and distances, but it also features the following tools to aid the process: • Database of more than 26,000 airports around the world • Runway length, direction and elevation data (NEW! for US and Canadian airports, ASDA/LDA numbers are used from official publications) • Real time weather conditions based on METARs • Visual Weight and balance emulator, which allows you to see, in real time, how the weight and center of gravity affects the takeoff and landing performance • Ability to send the calculated report to dispatch from inside the app • Flight plan integration with ForeFlight. It is user friendly, well laid out and intuitive. It saves us a lot of time when it comes to flight planning. Having real time weather is great and saves time inputting data. Makes WandB and takeoff and landing numbers so easy. The newer version even has nice graphics to make it visually simple and clear. Last minute changes to passengers or fuel are easy. Best part is that it pulls your flight plans and info directly from Foreflight and pulls current weather/metar! So intuitive! It just keeps getting better. If there is ever a glitch they either fix it quick or respond right away to say they’re on it and work directly with you to find solutions. Getting the information for take off and landing as V speeds, %CG, runway required and so on in a such easy and friendly way make our pilots life so easy. No more messy charts or paper to deal with. The way the numbers are displayed and the easy interpretation by the pilots is a plus, the presentation of the numbers follow a flow like the TO/LDG data card, so is easy to fill it up, in a sequence and no chance to place the numbers on the wrong field. The capability of send the numbers to the company (via wifi) is a delightful touch very much appreciated (last update). The app team are friendly and always available for any suggestions. The app is tailor specific for the company fleet so no problems regarding compatibility with different planes, like weight and balance. Just pick the plane you’re flying and the numbers for that specific plane will be used for the calculation, easy as that.
